Popular playback singer, Krishnakumar Kunnath, commonly known as KK, was one of the finest singers of all time in India's rich music history. However, it was on May 31, 2022, when the melodious singer passed away after performing live at Nazrul Manch in Kolkata. The actor was just 53, and his sudden demise shocked the entire nation. As per the latest reports, hours after completing his live concert, KK had started feeling a bit low and was rushed to the renowned Calcutta Medical Research Institute (CMRI) around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. However, unfortunately, the singer was declared dead by the doctors.
When the reports of KK's demise had started emerging on social media, in the beginning, people were in immense shock and were taking it as false death reports. However, soon the reports had turned into headlines and tributes and messages of condolences had started appearing on the internet. It was honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi's tweet that had firmly confirmed the reports of KK's demise, as there was a lot of confusion at the beginning.

Since the news has made its way on the internet, Bollywood celebrities and singers have tweeted their deepest condolences on KK's demise. While some celebs shared how KK was fit, and it's simply disheartening for them to witness such tragedy with a person like him, some talked about the legacy he has left behind. For the unversed, KK shared a close-knitted bond with popular singer, Mohit Chauhan, and the latter took to his IG handle and shared a picture of his best friend. Along with it, Mohit penned a heart-breaking note, in which he mentioned how he and KK were about to go on a tour together. His note can be read as:
"KK... not fair man. Not your time to go. This was the last time we were together to announce a tour together. How can you just go??? In shock. In grief. A dear dear friend, a brother is gone. RIP KK. Love you."

One of the greatest singers of all time, Shreya Ghoshal, also reacted to the tragic demise of her close buddy, KK and shared how she was in immense shock after receiving the news of his passing. The singer took to her IG handle and penned a long teary-eyed note in KK's memory, along with a picture of the famed singer. In her note, Shreya shared a lot of things about the singer and praised him for his humble nature. Her note can be read as:
"I am unable to wrap my head around this news. Numb. #KK Why! This is too hard to accept! Heart is shattered in pieces. One of the most humble, gentle, pure human being I have met in my life. God's dear child was sent to spread love in the lives of millions of fans, friends and colleagues. Now God needed him back? So soon?! Cruel!! Cant imagine what his family is going through. My deepest sincerest condolences. His golden, soulful voice echoes in all our hearts. Rest in peace dear KK."

Late iconic singer, KK is often regarded as one of the greatest singers of all time, and he had recorded songs in more than nine different languages. Some of his most iconic songs are the likes of Pal, Yaaron, Tadap Tadap, Apadi Podu, Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai, Aankhon Mein Teri, Piya Aaye Na, Zara Sa, Tu Jo Mila, and the list goes on. There's no denying the fact that KK's demise has left a big void in the Indian music industry that will remain empty forever.
