Smriti Irani Faces Trolls For Using Body Double In 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2', '14L For..'

A few days ago, actress and politician, Smriti Irani, gave her fans the best surprise as she returned to television after 17 years. She reprised her iconic role as 'Tulsi' in the reboot version of the popular show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. Her comeback made a lot of headlines. Despite all the love, fans are raising concerns and trolling her as she is allegedly using a body double. 

Netizens react to Smriti Irani using a body double

Even though the makers have tried hard to blend the shots of Smriti Irani and her body double, some eagle-eyed fans have noticed the difference and shared their thoughts on social media platforms. A few days ago, Smriti Irani made headlines for being the highest-paid television actor as she takes Rs. 14 lakh per episode, but the same is now turning into a point that fans are using to troll her. 

One user took to their X (formerly Twitter) handle to comment, "Glad that everyone is noticing this! For what is she charging 14L for?" Another user said, "Why Smriti Irani mam's scenes in recent episodes are too much edited with her only single clips and with editing in background and also body double in family gather scenes?" A third user asked, "Yeh Smriti poora season body double k saath toh nahi nikaal degi na?"

Is Smriti Irani using a body double?

Allegedly, Smriti Irani has been using a body double, while shooting for the iconic show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. There are chances that because of her political commitments, she is unable to be present for all shooting schedules. As a result, allegedly a body double is used for most of the scenes. Smriti Irani separately shoots close-ups and then later is edited into the episode.

Netizens feel Smriti Irani is trying to copy Anupamaa

Apart from getting trolled for using a body double, a few users also trolled Smriti Irani for her acting. One user wrote, "Anupamaa ki sasti copy chal rhi. Smriti apni acting bhul ke Anupamaa ko copy krne ke chakkr mein overacting kar rhi, Maa ki acting Rupali Ganguly se achi koi nhi kar skta. Sab log 3 epi mein bore ho gaye. Rajan Shahi ka koi mukabla nhi tv pe. Another user said, "I don’t like Mihir & Tulsi dynamics. I also get ZERO chemistry between them." A third user said, "The parallel lead, Vrinda, is boring. I don’t care for her."
