Meanwhile, multiple girls’ names got linked with the music composer, Palaash, and reports claimed that the latter allegedly cheated on the vice captain of the Indian Women’s cricket team. Now that Smriti clarified that her wedding with Palaash has been called off, her old motivational speech has gone viral.

Smriti Mandhana revealed how she deals with the challenging days

2025 has been a heavy year for Smriti Mandhana, as her father, Shrinivas Mandhana, got hospitalised on the day of her wedding. He suffered heart attack-like symptoms. Now, her old motivational interview with Humans of Bombay has gone viral. Smriti revealed how she usually deals with the challenging days of her life. She was quoted as saying:

"It's pretty easy for me. I have short-term goals. Say if I feel low today, I will just start writing what I have to work on for the next six days or for the next seven days, in my batting or in my fitness. Once I start doing that, I just forget what's happening. I just focus on what I have to do."

In the same interview, Smriti shared how she positively takes everything. She highlighted that when a day turns bad, the next day must be seen as a fresh one. Citing an example from cricket, Smriti mentioned that everyone must start their day with a positive approach as 'innings start on zero'. She was quoted as saying:

"So when I change my headspace into what I have to do in the next 6-7 days, I don't know, I just feel like there's so much to look forward to. You have to always start your day as a new day because you start your innings on zero, even if you score a hundred. So that's the biggest takeaway from what I have learnt. Whatever happens in your life the next day is a fresh day."

Smriti Mandhana clarified that her wedding with music composer, Palaash Muchhal, has been called off

On December 7, 2025, Smriti Mandhana took to her Instagram Stories to clarify that her scheduled wedding to Palaash Muchhal had been called off. She shared that for the past few weeks, there were several speculations around her life, so she thought to clarify the situation. She highlighted that cricket had been her focus, and she will continue doing this. An excerpt from her note can be read as:

"Over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of speculation around my life, and I feel it is important for me to speak out at this time. I need to clarify that the wedding is called off. I believe there is a higher purpose driving us all, and for me, that has always been representing my country at the highest level. I hope to continue to play and win trophies for India for as long as possible, and that is where my focus will forever be. It's time to move forward."
