The renowned Akkineni family, including actor, Nagarjuna, his son, Naga Chaitanya, and Sobhita Dhulipala, recently had a momentous meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Parliament House. The actors presented the prime minister with a special book honouring the legendary Telugu actor, Akkineni Nageswara Rao (ANR).
On February 7, 2025, the Akkineni clan visited Narendra Modi in New Delhi, at the Parliament house. The main purpose of their meeting was to gift the prime minister a book named Akkineni Ka Virat Vyaktitva in honour of ANR’s incredible legacy in Indian cinema. Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna, and his stepmother, Amala Akkineni attended the meeting. For the special day, Naga Chaitanya and Nagarjuna twinned in dark bandhgala, while Sobhita looked elegant in an off-white saree with a golden border, paired with a matching blouse and subtle makeup. Amala added a touch of grace in a minimalistic pink saree.
Sobhita, sharing glimpses of the visit on Instagram, expressed her gratitude. Tagging Narendra Modi in his post, the actor shared a photo of the Akkineni family clicking with the prime minister. He accompanied the picture with a note that read:
“Profoundly thankful to Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi ji for today’s meeting at Parliament House. “Anyone who knows me knows how much I adore kondapalli bommalu (dancing dolls), their memories trace back to my childhood years in my grandparents’ home in Tenali. So happy to be able to gift him one, and to find that he knows all about this old handicraft and its nativity to Andhra Pradesh.”
Naga Chaitanya’s father, Nagarjuna shared a photograph on his X (formerly Twitter) handle that captured a special moment between him, his wife, Amala Akkineni, and PM Narendra Modi. They were seen posing for the camera by holding a memento. His post read:
