Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala’s wedding ceremonies are officially kickstarted. It was on August 8, 2024, when the duo exchanged rings during an intimate engagement ceremony. And since then, their huge fan base has been eagerly waiting for their wedding announcement. Now, the actress has confirmed her fans about her wedding by sharing pictures from her pre-wedding ceremony.
Taking to her IG handle, Sobhita posted an array of pictures from her Godhuma Raayi ceremony. The ceremony is basically the haldi rasam of a bride-to-be. It is an age-old ceremony in the Telugu-speaking community in which friends and family apply turmeric to the soon-to-be bride. The women of the household pound turmeric to be applied on the bride.

In the pictures shared by Sobhita, the actress is seen pounding turmeric with the other women and enjoying the ceremony to the fullest. Dressed in an orange-coloured silk saree with green and cream coloured-border along with a matching blouse, Sobhita looked stunning. With pleated hair adorned with gajra, green bangles, gold jewellery and subtle makeup, she looked alluring. Along with the pictures, she wrote:
“Godhuma Raayi Pasupu danchatam. And so it begins!”

In an interview with Galatta, Sobhita Dhulipala talked about her ring exchange ceremony with Naga Chaitanya. The actress mentioned that her engagement was exactly what she wanted it to be like, and it didn't need any embellishments, as it was all beautiful all by itself. Sobhita shared that it was not simple, but it was perfect for her. In her words:
“I don't think I went into the moment with a lot of expectations or dreams, planning...no. I think I was there. It was quite relaxed, simple, sweet, intimate and warm. It was everything I thought it would be. When beautiful things happen, I don't feel the need for embellishments. That moment itself fills me. So I didn't feel like it was simple or it was not; it was what it was meant to be, and it was perfect.”
Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya got engaged on an auspicious day on August 8, 2024, which has a connection to Infinite. The couple exchanged rings in the actor's Hyderabad residence, and both of their family members graced the traditional ceremony. As per a report is to be followed, the ceremony began with a puja, and followed by a lavish vegetarian lunch from Andhra cuisine. Later, Naga Chaitanya's father, Nagarjuna, reportedly hosted a lavish dinner.
