Newly married couple, Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, set the internet on fire with their presence at the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit 2025 (WAVES) held in Mumbai. However, eagle-eyed fans started speculating that the couple was expecting their first baby. This is because, for a long time, fans have seen Sobhita wearing loose-fitting outfits where she is covering her midsection. A family member from Sobhita's family has revealed whether the actress is pregnant or not.

Chay looked suave in a black- hued bandhgala while Sobhita dazzled in a henna-hued dark shimmery saree. The actress had put on sindoor and heavy traditional jewellery and shared an array of pictures on her Instagram, where her midriff section was covered by the saree pallu. Fans speculated that she wore a heavy saree to hide her belly. The actress looked stylish and neither she nor Chay has given any official confirmation about the pregnancy. There have been many reports suggesting that the pair may announce the news, however, an insider from the family dashed the hopes of the fans. The family member close to Chay and Sobhita, in an interview with ETimes, shared that the baby was not on the way. The family member shared:

"She wore anti-fit, not maternity. It’s amazing how a change in silhouette can birth a whole new storyline."

The report also stated that those who have been close to the couple also had the same views. The family insider also laughed and shared how celebrities are always over-analysed, as till now neither Sobhita nor anyone from the Akkineni family has spoken about the rumoured pregnancy.

Now, it looks like the family member has disappointed all the fans of Chay and the actress, as she did not wear loose-fitting clothes due to her pregnancy. Fans also noticed that neither of them posed together in front of the camera and appeared very distant. They did not even walk together at the WAVES Summit 2025. Earlier, there were a lot of reports claiming that the couple may be expecting a miracle, but the pair did not even confirm the authenticity of the information.

Earlier, in an interview with the Hindustan Times, Chay shared that he and his wife, Sobhita, love cinema and that it was travelling that helped them strengthen the bond of togetherness. He shared that she is from Vizag, and he loves Vizag. He fell in love with a girl from Vizag, even though they come from different cities, there’s a lot of cultural connection. Chay also shared that as he and Sobhita have a lot of similar perspectives related to life they have always had a meaningful conversation on the table.
