Soha is a real-life princess and daughter of former Indian cricketer, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress, Sharmila Tagore.

On the other hand, Kunal Kemmu made his Bollywood debut as a child artist and returned to Bollywood in 2005 with the film, Kalyug. The duo met for the first time at their film’s shoot and became friends to fall in love later. On January 25, 2015, the adorable couple got married in an intimate ceremony.

The wedding starts with Soha getting ready for her big day, where we can see a glimpse of her mehendi-adorned hands and feet. We also got a glimpse of Kunal’s pagdi and tilak ceremony. In another segment of the video, Soha was seen walking towards Kunal as her brother, Saif Ali Khan held her hand.

Smiling their hearts out, Soha and Kunal looked like a match made in heaven. Their wedding took place at their Khar residence in a very simple ceremony. Like a doting bhabhi, Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen doing rituals at her nanad’s wedding and dancing her heart out. A registrar, along with close family friends, were present at the wedding. Soha and Kunal’s jaimala moment was too cute to be missed.

Way before Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu started the trend of pastel colours. For her wedding, Soha looked resplendent in an off-white lehenga teamed up with an orange dupatta. The traditional maang tikka of a Muslim bride, passa, completed her look. On the other hand, the 31-year-old actor looked stately in a white and gold sherwani and a silk safa.

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu’s love story

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu met for the first time in 2009 during the shooting of the film, Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge. During the filming, she was certain that Kunal was not her type. However, it was only after their second film, 99, that they became friends and also developed feelings for one another. In an interview, Kunal once revealed that he liked Soha a lot but did not approach her because he thought she was way out of his league.

When Kunal Kemmu proposed to Soha Ali Khan

After dating for some time, It was Kunal who popped the million-dollar question to Soha, and the ecstatic actress revealed the same on social media. Soha took to Twitter in 2014 and announced the news to all her followers about Kunal popping the ‘big question’ to her and that she had said a ‘yes’! Her tweet could be read as:

“It gives me great happiness to share with you all that Kunal proposed to me in Paris with the most perfect ring in the world and I said yes.”

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu stayed in a live-in relationship

Before tying the knot, Soha and Kunal decided to have a live-in relationship to understand each other better. In an old interview with the PTI, Kunal revealed how his live-in relationship with Soha had helped him understand his partner even more. He even mentioned that "people have more broad and independent views" in Mumbai, which had worked in their favour. The actor had said:

"Live-in relationship helped me to know and understand my partner better, which eventually helped my marriage with Soha. But having said that... you have to figure out your way. There is no one proper recipe. Everybody has ups and downs, and everybody should figure their way out."

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu embraced parenthood in 2017 with the arrival of their daughter, Inaaya Naumi Kemmu.
