Sohail Khan Talks About His Divorce With Seema Sajdeh For The First Time, 'Somewhere Some Things...'

Bollywood actor, Sohail Khan married fashion designer, Seema Sajdeh in 1998. The couple welcomed their two sons, Nirvaan and Yohan (via surrogacy). Unfortunately, their marriage could not stand the test of time, and the two called it quits. Sohail and Seema divorced in 2022, and despite going their separate ways, they remained cordial for the sake of their children.

Sohail Khan talks about his divorce from Seema Sajdeh

Though Seema has spoken about her divorce multiple times, it is very rare to see Sohail Khan talking about his personal life. However, the actor turned producer opened up his divorce from Seema Sajdeh for the first time and also stated that there is no bad blood between the two. Speaking about the same to The Times of India, Sohail shared:

“I have lived 24 years with Seema. She is a beautiful girl, and somewhere some things didn’t work out. But that doesn’t change the equation that Seema and I have. She’s a lovely person. She’s a lovely mother, a very caring mother. Things didn’t work out between us, but that doesn’t mean that there should be any kind of bad blood between us.”

In the same conversation, Sohail also stated that during a fight between a husband and wife, it is the child who suffers the most. The actor further shared that the husband and wife’s egos never let them realise the impact of their fight on their child. Revealing how he and Seema wanted to create a safe space for their kids as single parents, Sohail continued:

“We wanted Nirvan and Yohan to grow up with single parents and know that there’s nothing wrong with that. Love is more important than anything else."

Seema Sajdeh talked about being insecure about Sohail meeting beautiful women

Seema and Sohail never revealed how they met, but the couple eloped to get married. It was the day of the release of his film, Jab Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, that Sohail and Seema had tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony in a temple. After two years of marital bliss, Sohail and Seema were blessed with their first child, Nirvan, in 2000. And in June 2011, the couple had embraced parenthood and had welcomed their second son, Yohan, through surrogacy.

Just a year after their divorce, Seema appeared on Shivani Pau's A Millennial Mind podcast and talked about her relationship with Sohail and the reason behind their separation. During the conversation, the fashion designer revealed that she had eloped with Sohail after three months of dating. They got married when Seema was just 22 years old. She also revealed that at such a young age, seeing Sohail with other beautiful women made her a bit insecure, and then there was constant social pressure on her.

After her divorce from Sohail Khan, Seema Sajdeh found solace in the arms of businessman, Vikram Ahuja.
