However, this time his ex-girlfriend, Somy Ali has taken a dig at the Maine Pyar Kiya actor and brought their long-broken relationship to the public attention. For the unversed, Somy Ali and Salman Khan dated each other from 1991 to 1999.

Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend and former Bollywood actress, Somy Ali took a dig at him by sharing a series of cryptic posts on her Instagram handle. On August 19, 2022, Somy shared a poster of Salman Khan's film, Maine Pyar Kiya on her IG handle and urged everyone to stop worshipping him. Somy captioned the post as:
"A women beater, and not just me, but many. Stop worshipping him, please. He's a sadistic sick. You have no idea."
Somy also shared another post, featuring a silhouette picture of an evil man. The Krishan Avtaar actress added the hashtag of Salman's name and called him a murderer. Her caption can be read as:
"Oh, what a ride! To literally witness, big wigs kiss up to women beaters and murderers. Not to mention also murders the witnesses. And then have your help bare the brunt of what you did."

Earlier, this year, Somy made it to the headlines after threatening to expose the 'Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood'. On March 30, 2022, Salman's ex-girlfriend, Somy had shared a still from his movie, Maine Pyar Kiya song, Aate Jaate on her Instagram handle. Sharing the picture, Somy had threatened Salman and said that his truth will come out one day. The former actress even tagged Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in her post. However, Somy had deleted the post later. In her words:
"The Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood! You will be exposed. The women you abused will come out one day and share their truth. Just like @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb."
Earlier in an interview with Zoom, Somy Ali had talked about her relationship with Salman Khan and shared that he cheated on her. She had said:
"It's been 20 years since I broke up with him. He cheated on me, and I broke up with him and left. It's as simple as that."
For the unversed, Somy Ali now runs an NGO, 'No More Tears' for domestic abuse survivors.
