Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is rumoured to tie the knot with her longtime beau, Zaheer Iqbal, in June 2024. The Heeramandi actress has opted to take the plunge in an intimate wedding ceremony. Sonakshi and Zaheer want to keep their wedding a hush-hush affair, so they are making the preparations secretly. Ahead of the alleged wedding, Sonakshi has opened up about the constant buzz around her wedding rumours.
In a recent interview with iDiva, Sonakshi Sinha opened up about the constant buzz around her wedding and admitted that she doesn’t pay much heed to it. The actress also mentioned that she is often asked questions about her wedding and she has become used to it. She said that it's nobody’s business and just her choice, so people should not be concerned at all. Sonakshi said:

“I get asked about it all the time, and now, it’s like it goes in one ear and out the other. Firstly, it’s nobody’s business. Secondly, it is my choice, so I don’t know why people are so concerned about it. People ask me about my marriage more than my parents, so I find that very funny. Now, I am just used to it. It doesn’t bother me. People are curious… what can we do about it?”

On the other hand, Sonakshi Sinha’s father, Shatrughan Sinha, also addressed the ongoing rumours of his daughter's wedding. Speaking with Times Now, Shatrughan said that he knows as much as the media knows because Sonakshi hasn’t spoken to him about her wedding plans yet. The doting father also mentioned that these days, kids have stopped seeking consent from their families before making important decisions in their lives. However, Shatrughan added that he has complete faith in his daughter that she wouldn't do anything illegal.
As per a report in the Hindustan Times, a source close to Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal revealed that the couple moved in a while ago, and they are all set to tie the knot with the blessings of their families. The source also mentioned that the wedding will take place at the South Mumbai eatery, Bastian, on June 23, 2024, followed by a reception party at night. Sonakshi and Zaheer had been planning the wedding for a long time, and they were waiting for the election to be over as the actress' father was busy with the election.
