Going by her heart, Sonam took the sacred saat pheras around the pious agni on May 8, 2018, amidst their close pals and families. Ever since the day they had gotten married, they have only been making their #EverydayPhenomenal. Sonam and Anand, who empower each other and have respect for one another’s professions, have been successfully managing their long-distance marriage like pros! In a recent chat with Cosmopolitan, Sonam opened up about her married life with husband, Anand S Ahuja and remarked, “It's been beautiful! To have someone like Anand as a life partner is a blessing. I have never been happier. Life hasn't changed much. Of course, I am more in love with him than ever before, but, in terms of work, it's the same. We give each other's work a lot of importance. So, we understand. Besides, we always make it a point to take time out for each other. On days we can't, we have a mutual understanding. The key is effective and clear communication, which we always maintain.”
In the same interaction, she also shared the biggest takeaway from her relationship and retorted, “Being with the right person puts everything else in motion. Anand and I truly believe in empowering, loving, and supporting each other. Earlier, during a conversation with the IANS, when Sonam was asked as to what has changed post-wedding, she had revealed that she had gained a few kilos. She was quoted as saying, "After my wedding, I have put on weight, my skin goes bad, I have really bad dark circles and I want all the girls to know that it's okay." In another media interaction, she had answered, “It’s the same thing. Life doesn’t change much after marriage. It doesn’t change for a man. So, why should it be different for a woman where work is concerned?”
On the work front, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja is currently on a promotional spree as she is busy promoting her upcoming movie, The Zoya Factor along with her co-star, Dulquer Salmaan. The film, which is directed by Abhishek Sharma and produced by Fox Star Studios, Pooja Shetty and Aarrti Shetty, is slated for a September 20, 2019 release. The story is based on Anuja Chauhan's 2008 novel of the exact same title, which circles around the life of a girl named, Zoya, who turns out to be a lucky charm for Indian team during 2011 Cricket World Cup.
