Sonam Kapoor tied the knot with the love of her life, Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018. For her wedding, Sonam wore a bespoke red-hued lehenga from the ace designer, Anuradha Vakil's collection. Sonam's wedding outfit was indeed worthy of becoming an heirloom treasure and had taken almost six months to complete. The handwoven fabric of her lehenga choli was developed in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, using a special gold and silk yarn. The embroidery on it was created using the kalabattu technique with real gold and silver threads. It was complimented with a beautiful traditional veil with lotus motifs. The price of the ensemble was around Rs. 70-90 lakhs.
Sonam Kapoor Ahuja accessorised her wedding ensemble with stunning Rajputana jewellery. Her accessories included an aad necklace layered with a guttapusalu neckpiece, matching earrings and a multi-stranded matha patti. In addition, she opted for diamond kadas, huge kaleeras and chooda.
Sonam's makeup artist, Namrata Soni opted for a surreal, almost no makeup look for the bride. Sonam's makeup included soft peach cheeks, a beautiful red stained lip, and a simple bun adorned with mogras at the back. Altogether, she looked simply royal on her D-Day.
