Sonyaa Ayoddhya Breaks Silence On Her Divorce With Harsh Samorre, 'It Can't Be Just One Person..'

Sonyaa Ayoddhya is a prominent Television actress who has been in the headlines for the past few weeks regarding her personal life. Known for her popular roles in shows like Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and Nazar, Sonyaa won hearts by playing versatile roles. But the actress has been through a rough patch in her personal life as she parted ways with her former husband, Harsh Samorre. After months of speculation and cryptic posts on social media, she has finally broken her silence and confirmed opting for divorce. At the same time, in a recent interview, Sonyaa shared the reason behind the same.

Sonyaa Ayoddhya shares she chooses peace over conflict 

Sonyaa Ayoddhya tied the knot with Harsh Samorre in a grand ceremony in December 2019 in Jaipur. Several colleagues of the actress graced their wedding, and her fans were delighted that she finally found the love of her life. But it was not the case, and Sonyaa Ayoddhya got divorced from Harsh in April 2025. She was silent for a long time over the reports about her marital relationship, but in a recent interview with the Times Of India, she confirmed the news. 

Sonyaa opened up about the divorce and admitted that it took an emotional toll on her. Sharing how it was a painful experience, she mentioned that she never thought it would happen to her. However, she took the decided that she wanted peace over conflicts. The actress revealed that she is now focusing on moving forward in life and prioritising her happiness. Sharing the reason behind the split, she said:

"I have chosen peace over conflict, and I don't wish to give it more time and energy than I already have. I am focusing on healing, learning and moving forward with my life. It can't be just one person giving; the other has to do it too. It's important to strike the right balance in a marriage."

After Sonyaa tied the knot with Harsh, the couple were happy until a certain point. But soon media reports suggested that Sonyaa Ayoddhya and Harsh Samorre's marriage has been facing issues. It all began when they unfollowed each other on Instagram in 2024 and deleted their pictures together which hinted that all was not well between them. In addition, Sonyaa used to share posts based on emotional strength and solitude, which fueled their separation rumours, but the duo maintained silence over it.

Sonyaa Ayoddhya rose to fame for her brief yet significant appearances in TV shows like Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Nazar, and Sanjog. She tied the knot with Harsh Samorre in Jaipur on December 12, 2019 and they held a grand ceremony to honour the wish of Sonyaa's family. Sonyaa's Kasautii Zindagii Kay co-stars, Shubhaavi Choksey and Erica Fernandes, marked their presence at the occasion. Sonyaa was last seen in the OTT show, Kill Dill, released on March 28, 2025, and also stars Prit Kamani and Anushka Sen, where she received praise for her role.
