Sooraj Pancholi Credits Makers Of 'Kesari Veer' For His Comeback, Netizens Say, 'Jiah Khan Yaad..'

Bollywood actor, Sooraj Pancholi had to undergo a tough time when he was embroiled in the suicide case of his ex-girlfriend, Jiah Khan. After a lot of trials, the actor came out clean. He was not seen on the big screen for years, and now he is back in the limelight with his next period drama offering titled, Kesari Veer: Legends Of Somnath. The actor will be seen in the movie with Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, and Akanksha Sharma. It was during the trailer launch event of the film that he broke down and thanked the makers of the movie for giving him a chance.

Sooraj Pancholi gets emotional at the trailer launch event of Kesari Veer

Sooraj, who has transformed himself, donned a man bun, had a beard and wore a navy blue kurta. He was emotional as he spoke to the audience on the mike, as this was his first big movie after 2021. He had to go to the court many times related to Jiah's case, as he was acquitted. Last seen in Time Dance, the actor became emotional at the trailer launch as he spoke about his return and expressed heartfelt thanks to the cast of the movie. Sooraj broke down as he said:

"This is a very special film to all of us. Thank you, Kanu (Chauhan), for giving me the chance. Thank you, Akanksha."

Sooraj who is the son of stars, Aditya Pancholi and veteran actress, Zarina Wahab credited the team of Kesari Veer for giving him the movie. His voice choked, and tears swelled in his eyes. He paused and was not able to complete his sentence. Suniel Shetty even consoled the actor whose voice resonated with so many.

Netizens react to Sooraj Pancholi getting emotional

A user, after seeing the video of Sooraj breaking down, wrote, "Shayd Jia Khan yaad aa gayi. Yeh rota he rehta hai." Another user wrote, "Galat kaam karoghe aur kudh ka zameer maregha tho face kisko karoghe." A user even wrote, "Lol what a show he put up."  Sooraj in the video also shared the reason why he took a long time to come back to the movies. He said that many things had to be cleared from his life, and his mom said that good things take time. He was waiting for the right film and couldn't have asked for a better comeback than this. He also shared that he had along way to go, and once he tolerated so much, he was ready to face more toleration.

Suniel Shetty compares Sooraj Pancholi's screen presence to his son, Ahan

The historical trailer of the movie, Kesari Veer: Legends Of Somnath has been released and gives a peek into the life of a brave warrior called Hamirji Gohil, who fought against the barbaric Tughlaq Empire and protected the Somnath temple. The film is set to release on May 16, 2025 and has Sooraj with Akansha in important roles.  Suniel, who is also a pivotal part of the movie, praised the dedication of the star and shared:

"He (Sooraj) has seen a lot. Now, he’s got this second chance. Trust me, this is an opportunity the Almighty has given, that Mahadev (Lord Shiva) has given. You’ll see it in the film that he’s unbelievably good! Every time I see him on screen, it’s like I’m watching Ahan. That’s the kind of effort he’s put in. And the same kind of love."
