South Korean Olympian gymnast, Son Yeon Jae is now a mother! The 29-year-old rhythm gymnast started her career right in front of our eyes as she entered the ring in her pre-teens. Son Yeon Jae was a member of the nation's South Korean team and even won the all-rounder champion trophy at the 2014 Asian Games. Apart from this, Son Yeon Jae has also bagged the 2010 Asian Games all-around bronze medal and has been crowned with the Asian Games all-rounder trophy thrice in a row.
Besides her glorious professional success, Son Yeon Jae has an equally enticing personal front. She tied the knot with her non-celebrity husband in August 2022 and, ever since, has kept her relationship under wraps. Son Yeon Jae announced her relationship in April 2022 and said she would be an October bride but ended up tying the knot in August.

Son Yeon Jae on August 2023 announced on a live broadcast that she is expecting her first child with a non-celebrity husband. On February 20, 2024, her agency, Next Euphoria, issued a public statement announcing that Son Yeon Jae has given birth to a baby boy and both the mother and the son are healthy. They also added that Son Yeon Jae has donated KRW 100 million to the OBGYN department of the Severance Hospital, which is around USD 75,000. The statement can be read as:
"Son Yeon Jae recently gave birth to a healthy son. In addition to the birth, she has donated KRW 100 million to the OBGYN department at the Severance Hospital."
This is not the first time Son Yeon Jae has graciously donated her hard-earned money to a hospital. Back in 2022, when Son Yeon Jae got hitched, she donated KRW 50 million to the Severance Children's Hospital. Which, when converted to USD, is 37,500. Son Yeon Jae added that she felt that the department needed her donation after her delivery experience there, which is why she did what she thought was the best for the hospital. In her words:
"Through my personal experience of childbirth, I felt that the OBGYN department needs lots of support and I decided to donate to them."

Son Yeon Jae retired from the Olympics prior to her marriage, after which she became the CEO of Leaf Studio. Herein, she works to explore young talents and gives them the correct platform to showcase them. She especially strives towards helping aspiring gymnasts.
