The trailer for the film was released on September 15, 2025, following the 2025 Emmy Awards, and showcased how The Bear star, Jeremy Allen White transforms into the Boss at a crucial stage in his career, during the making of Nebraska. The film is produced by Scott Cooper, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Eric Robinson and Scott Stuber and will hit the big screens on October 24, 2025.

The film is unlike any ordinary biopic; instead, it's a look at the short yet extremely crucial period in Bruce Springsteen's life as an artist and the rawest, stripped-down version of his soul. It was in 1982, when his label sought a top ten hit from the legendary singer, but he opted to record something that was on the other spectrum of what was asked of him.

Bruce Springsteen completely changed his approach and recorded quiet, dark, introspective, and largely acoustic songs, including Atlantic City, the eerie story of mob violence that plays throughout the Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere trailer. He recorded them mainly on a four-track in his New Jersey bedroom. In a statement released by Bruce, he reflected on the kind of biopic and stated:

"This film takes a couple of years out of my life and looks at them very closely, a time when I made Nebraska and went through some personal difficulties. I'm so appreciative of Jeremy Allen White and the entire cast for their wonderful and moving performances — and Scott Cooper, one of the most generous collaborators I’ve ever worked with."

In the Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere trailer, Jeremy White bears a striking resemblance to Bruce Springsteen. However, that is not all; he also uncannily imitates the Boss' spoken vocal cadences as he explains himself in the film's trailer. What he found included deeply personal songs, as well as songs inspired by Terrence Malick's film, Badlands.

The film's director, Scott Cooper, shared his thoughts on Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska and revealed that it is where he chose truth over expectation. He added that it was a choice that still reverberates through everything Bruce has written afterwards. Scott further revealed that at the crossroads, Bruce could have chased the bright lights and the roar of arenas, but instead, he chose to look inside himself. He added:

"He turned inward, armed only with silence, a four-track recorder, and the courage to confront himself. For him to trust me with telling that story—the most vulnerable chapter of his life—is the greatest honour I've ever had as a filmmaker."
