SRK Arrives Alone To Promote Son, Aryan's Directorial Debut Show, Actor Asks, 'Tere Baap Ka Raaj...'

Aryan Khan is all set to make his directorial debut with a promising, thrilling, satirical, and self-aware take on Bollywood. The show was announced on Netflix’s Next on Netflix India event held in Mumbai on February 3, 2025. Shah Rukh Khan took centre stage to introduce his son's debut series, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The series will mark Aryan's official debut into the world of filmmaking, not as an actor but as a creator, writer, and director, bringing his vision of cinema to the world.

What was interesting about the announcement at the Netflix event was that Shah Rukh Khan had flown in solo to promote the film. However, Gauri Khan and Aryan Khan's absence from the event didn't go unnoticed, and even SRK addressed them missing from the occasion. He humorously acknowledged why he was at the announcement event alone and stated:

"They think if me as the chicken of the house. They sent me away and said, everyone will show their own show, we will show you."

Aryan Khan's debut project, Ba***ds of Bollywood, teased a humourous back and forth between the son and father. 

There is no one as witty and effortlessly charming at the same time as Shah Rukh Khan, and this can be seen in the teaser that was played at the Netflix event. SRK made a grand entrance, and with his signature charm and swag, the actor said, "Picture toh saalon se baaki hai. Lekin…" However, he was cut short by another voice which stated, "Cut… ek baar aur kar le Sir? Iss baar zyada emotion ke saath?" The camera then follows the voice, which belongs to Aryan Khan, who was seen instructing the Badshah of Bollywood.

The rest of the teaser is filled with back and forth between the son and father duo as Aryan keeps on telling SRK to make some changes. However, with each shot, Shah Rukh Khan's temper gets shorter as he seems over his son's dry humour and playful instructions. In frustration, SRK finally resorts to his trademark move, but even that fails to impress the director, who is heard saying, "Cut… haath saalon se phail rahe hai. Kuch alag try kare?" After what seems like a gazillion delivered, SRK finally loses his cool and snaps:

"Chup! Ek aur, ek aur, ek aur kiye jaa raha hai. Tere baap ka raaj hai kya?"

However, Aryan, as nonchalantly as ever, is seen smirking behind the camera and says, "Haan". Realising he has been outplayed, SRK declares, "Chup! Ab main take karunga aur tum sab chup chaap dekhoge. Aur seekhoge." King Khan then, in his full Bollywood glory, delivers the final announcement. He stated:

"Picture toh saalon se baaki hai, par show ab shuru hoga. The biggest, the baddest, bravest, whackiest, funniest, cheekiest, maddest, filmiest show on earth. Aur uss show ka title hai…"

As soon as the actor finishes, a screen flashes, revealing the title of the film as the set erupts in cheers. Only for Aryan Khan to lean forward and say, "Papa… Camera roll nahi hua. Ek aur milega?" SRK is seen lunging at his son as he cheekily yells, "Papa… Papa… bete pe haath uthane se pehle…" The video ends crediting Aryan Khan as the director.
