Celebrities and their kids are often spotted out and about in the city, and their glimpses instantly go viral on the internet. While some stars happily pose for the paparazzi, others are often seen having a tiff with the shutterbugs. However, there is no denying that the star kids always manage to catch our attention with their adorable looks during their public appearances. Now, celebrity photographer, Varinder Chawla has opened up about the different approaches taken by the stars to convince the paparazzi about not taking pictures of their children.

Pap recalls how Taimur Ali Khan's pictures started a trend about star kids' pictures in Tinseltown 

In an interview on the YouTube channel, Hindi Rush, Varinder Chawla spoke on behalf of the paparazzi community and mentioned that they all are aware that taking the star kids' pictures against their will is unethical. He shared that keeping the little ones' privacy in mind, the paps have started to avoid doing so. Recalling the past times, Varinder shared that it became a trend when the earliest pictures of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s son, Taimur Ali Khan, created a stir on the internet. However, in recent years, celebrities have set a boundary for photographers when it comes to their kids' privacy.

Rani Mukerji threatened to sue the paps for clicking Adira's pictures

In the candid conversation, the paparazzo mentioned that Rani Mukerji had threatened to sue them if they ever clicked her daughter, Adira's picture. Varinder also shared that after requesting them not to click their baby girl, Vamika's pictures, Virat and Anushka sent gift hampers to the paps as a token of appreciation. He added:

“Rani Mukerji requested us; in fact, she threatened to sue us. Then there’s Anushka and Virat, who sweetly asked us not to photograph their daughter; they also sent us gift packages to express their gratitude… Look, we know it’s not right. We’re careful, out of respect, but also because we’re scared of repercussions.”

Alia Bhatt had earlier hit the headlines as her intimate picture from her balcony had gone viral on the internet. The actress called out the media house for the breach of privacy and took strict action against them. Sharing how Ranbir and Alia were serious about the breach of privacy, Varinder said:

“They called us home; over 100 of us from the media, after that picture was taken of her from the roof of a nearby building. It wasn’t the doing of our community. It was some news photographer, we revealed his name as well to them."

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's take on protecting Raha's privacy

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, who revealed their daughter, Raha’s face to the world on Christmas 2023, had initially called the paps to their home to ask them not to capture the little one's pictures. However, ever since revealing Raha's face, they have allowed her photographs to be taken on many occasions. Talking about the same, the paparazzo said:

"But they called us home and requested us to be careful. They said that they would share photos themselves when they feel the time is right, because the baby is too young… They have their reasons, and we respect that. They stayed true to their word, and posed with Raha on Christmas.”
