Steve Bridges was a well-known and beloved comedian on TikTok, who would perform funny skits. All his skits featured unique characters that he had created. In some of his videos, his wife, Chelsey, would also take part. Steve was an emerging star on social media and made many people laugh daily. Taking to her late husband's social media, Chelsey announced the shocking news of his passing away. She also talked about their marriage and children. Here's a look at their love story.
Chelsey Bridges took to her husband's Instagram account on October 17, 2025 and announced that he had passed away on October 15, 2025. She introduced herself as the wife and life partner of Steve for the last sixteen years. Holding back tears, Chelsey said:
"I'm really sorry to get on and tell you this, this way. I think if I wait any longer, I'm not going to be able to do it. But Steve Bridges passed away peacefully in his sleep."
Chelsey also revealed that she and Steve have three children, one daughter and two sons. As a grieving mother, she stated that she won't be telling her children that they can't grieve online. At the end, Chelsey ended the video by emotionally telling people to never take life for granted. Chelsey said:
"I'm not going to tell my children that they can't grieve online. I will probably grieve online too. This is life now. Please never take it for granted and try to live your dreams every day. Love your family and take care of yourself."

Steve had been known to portray strange and obnoxious characters in his TikTok comedy sketches. From a 'dad-beat boyfriend' to 'housekeeping manager' and more, Steve would play over-the-top characters. Chelsey stated in her announcement video that in real life, Steve was the opposite of his character. She called him an attentive father, the best husband, and a sweet man. Steve's wife shared:
"Who you saw online was just the characters that he created. He was so talented because he was the opposite of all of them. He was the most attentive father, and the best, the best husband. And the greatest, sweetest man. And thanks to you internet, he's been able to live his dream of making people laugh. I am so thankful that he got to do that."
Eric Mathis, the writer and director of the 2025 film Infernal, also paid tribute to Steve Bridges, who had made his film debut in the mentioned movie. Eric Mathis, paid homage to the late comedian and shared a moving note on Facebook. He mentioned that the late comedian was known for his kindness and genuineness. Eric penned down:
"At 41, he is gone way too soon. Everyone who had the pleasure, the absolute pleasure of meeting Steve, they all loved him. He was so kind, so genuine, so passionate about his art, and infectious in his many amazing traits. We are all in shock, we grieve with his family, and we are all heavy with the weight of his loss. Steve made us all laugh, he became part of my core film team, and the world really lost an amazing man with his passing. Please keep Steve, his family, and his many MANY friends in your thoughts. Rest easy brother.. You are forever our 'Mikey'!"

After Steve Bridges' shocking death at the age of 41, his family is still trying to find their footing. Chelsey had mentioned in the video that they had made many plans before he passed away while sleeping on their couch. Steve had a massive following on TikTok with over two million followers. However, after his death to help his wife and children with their expenses, Steve's family put up a GoFundMe page. Many of his ardent fans have already donated huge amounts to help their favourite comedian's family.
