The wait is finally over as the fifth and final season of the popular supernatural show, Stranger Things has been released. For those who don't know, Stranger Things Season 5 was released on November 27, 2025, in India, on Netflix. Part 1, which included the first four episodes of Stranger Things Season 5 were released on November 27, 2025, took the viewers back to Hawkins in the fall of 1987. The show is set months after the incidents of Season 4. This time, 'Eleven' (Millie Bobby Brown) along with 'Hopper' (David Harbour) is on the run to prepare herself for the final battle. Apart from them, the 'Byers' and the 'Wheelers', along with 'Steve' and 'Robin', are also preparing to hunt 'Vecna' in the Upside Down. This season explores both quiet moments as well as intense horror scenes. 

Netizens review Stranger Things Season 5 Part 1

Part 1 of Stranger Things Season 5 was released at 6:30 a.m. IST on Netflix and within a few hours a lot of fans took to their X (formerly twitter) handles to share their thoughts on the first four episodes. Considering the massive buzz and build-up before the release, the show has been receiving mixed reviews by fans. While some appreciated the plot, others felt that the characters are not used well. 

One user commented, "Episodes 1-4 are a good return to form. Great character dynamics, visuals and the story is extremely interesting and engaging. 8.5/10." Another user wrote, "#StrangerThings5 is… odd. The show really struggles with its large cast, and most get only a few truly meaningful things to do. The plot feels like it barely advances, and there’s a weird lack of momentum." A third user penned, "#StrangerThings5 (Vol. 1) nails the final-season tone- it’s more mature, more intense, but still keeps that classic humor alive. The character work this time is insane, and every episode ends on a straight-up high note."
