The 26-year-old young comedian was in a relationship with Sony TV's Ye Unn Dinon Ki Baat Hai actress, Subuhi Joshi, but in 2014 they had called their relationship off because of Sidharth's mother disapproving of Subuhi. However, they had decided to work things out and got back together and had even gotten engaged in November 2018 only to break ties yet again. In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Subuhii Joshii revealed that her time with ex-boyfriend and famous comedian, Sidharth Sagar was her life's most tormenting one. The popular model and actress revealed that it was an abusive and toxic relationship. She said, "It was an abusive relationship. Everything around started getting so toxic. My life felt valueless. I decided to end my career. That's when my mother held me back and gave me courage. And I decided to fight back." The actress added that the lockdown had played a major role in her fight against depression. She added, "The lockdown was a sort of a boon for me. I changed my diet and worked out rigorously four hours a day. My doctor was like how did you do this? I've shed the extra pounds and back at 55 kgs." Subuhii was asked if she would like to collaborate with her ex-beau, Sagar, if a good project comes her? She replied, "I prefer keeping my professional and personal life separate. If the offer is good I'll take it up and mind my own business. I'm not in touch with him, nor do I want to. I send him love and light."
Last year in an interview with a leading portal, Subuhii had narrated the whole story behind her ultimate step of ending all ties with Sidharth for once and all. She had revealed that he used to throw things on her over little issues. She had stated, "When we separated in 2016, he blamed his mother for it. However, she wasn't entirely responsible for what happened; I realised it only after staying with him post our engagement. The problem is with his attitude and behaviour, but I did try my best to save the relationship. I have seen his dark side; he loses his cool over petty issues, and can get violent. Woh haath uthaata hai aur cheezein phekta hai."
Subuhi Joshi had further added how once, she had to get the help of police as he had raised his hand on her and had added, "He was disturbed as he was going through a financial crunch. Besides fighting verbally, he would often raise his hand on me. In March, I called the cops after he hit me. I was taken to the hospital for a medical check-up and on our way to the police station, he kept crying saying, 'Mujhse galti ho gayi, maaf kar de. I'll never repeat it'. After seeing him cry, I told the cops to let him go. In hindsight, I feel that I made a huge mistake. He should have been behind bars."
