Prolific writer, Sudha Murty is hailed for her witty self. One of the renowned names in English and Kannada literature, Sudha is the wife of the chairman of Infosys, Narayan Murthy. She often talks about her personal life without any qualms. In a viral video, Sudha revealed how she and her daughter influenced their respective husbands.
In a video doing rounds on social media, Sudha Murty was seen chatting with a group of pandits in Kannada. She reveals how a wife can impact her husband. Talking about the same, she said:

“My daughter’s husband is a Punjabi. His family is settled in England 100-150 years ago. It may not be his culture. But he fasts every Thursday. He says Thursday is a good day, so he fasts every Thursday. He prays and eats dinner only at night.”

In the same conversation, Sudha revealed that Rishi started fasting, seeing his wife, Akshata Murthy. Sudha also revealed that despite her many efforts, she was not able to change Narayana Murthy, but at the same time, Rishi still keeps fast every Thursday. In her words:
“This is because of his wife’s influence. See how wives change their husbands. Only I wasn’t able to.”

A few days back, Sudha Murty graced The Kapil Sharma Show and talked about various phases of her life. During one of the segments, the popular writer revealed an interesting story about how no one believes that she is UK PM, Rishi Sunak's mother-in-law. Recalling an incident, she stated once an immigration officer thought she was joking when she wrote '10 Downing Street' as her residential address. Talking about the same, Sudha said:
“Once when I had gone, they asked me my residential address. ‘Where are you staying in London?’ My elder sister was with me and I thought should I write ’10 Downing Street’. My son also lives there (in UK), but I didn’t remember his complete address. But I finally wrote 10 Downing Street. That fellow (the immigration officer) looked at me and said, ‘Are you joking?!”

In the same show, Sudha Murty revealed how Narayana Murthy asked for her support when he planned to start Infosys. He told his wife that he won’t be working for 3 years and she would have to manage the home with her single earring. She also supported her husband financially by giving him a capital of Rs. 10,000 to start Infosys.
