Sudhanshu Pandey Reveals REASON Behind Quitting Show, 'Anupamaa', 'Ladayi Hui, Maar Peet Hui...'

Sudhanshu Pandey, the TV actor who rose to fame with his role in the popular TV show, Anupamaa, has finally addressed the buzz surrounding his exit from the show. For the unversed, Sudhanshu became a household name with his role as 'Vanraj Shah' in Anupamaa. He played the role of Rupali Ganguly’s on-screen husband. But even after gaining so much popularity, he left the show in August 2024. Now, in a recent interview, Sudhanshu opened up about the reason behind quitting Anupamaa.

Sudhanshu Pandey puts the record straight over his Anupamaa exit rumours

In a recent interview with The Free Press Journal, Sudhanshu was asked whether he ever felt it important to address the rumours surrounding his sudden exit from the hit TV show, Anupamaa. For the uninitiated, after Sudhanshu left the show, there were rumours that he had a fallout with his co-star and lead actress, Rupali Ganguly, who played his on-screen wife. Now, Sudhanshu has put the record straight, stating that he never felt the need to clear the air surrounding his exit from Anupamaa. He was quoted as saying:

"Never, it doesn’t matter. Every story that comes out is only a phase. We will get over it after some time; people will have something else to talk about, like they do always."

Earlier in 2024, Sudhanshu confirmed that he was no longer part of the show, Anupamaa, through a social media post. But he didn’t share any reason for the decision. Now, in a conversation with The Free Press Journal, Sudhanshu revealed the reason behind exiting the show, Anupamaa. He explained that people can never avoid anything that is coming to an end, whether it be a show or life. He added that whatever might be the reason, a fight with someone or he made a decision, it was time for him to quit the show, and that’s why he left Anupamaa. In his words:

"I always say that everything, jab samay aa jata hai to samay aa jata hai — whether it is to quit something or when your life comes to an end. Jo bhi jariya bana ho, chahe wo kisi se ladayi hui ho, maar-peet hui ho, ya maine kuch decision liya ho… my time had come to quit the show, which is why I did."

Further in the interview, Sudhanshu Pandey talked about the lasting impact of his role as 'Vanraj Shah'. Even though Sudhanshu left Anupamaa in 2024, the love he still receives from fans amazes him. He admitted that these things often make him nervous because he wonders what he can do next so that people love him just as much as they love his 'Vanraj' character. He was quoted as saying:

"I feel a little scared. Ab aisa kya karunga jisse main itna pyar generate kar pau? It’s a beautiful but daunting feeling to know that people still associate me so deeply with Vanraj."
