Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's daughter, Suhana Khan, has joined the film industry and is following her dream of being just like her father. After failing to leave a mark with her debut film, The Archies, Suhana is shooting for her upcoming film, The King, with her father, Shah Rukh. Recently, a funny video of her made it online, and netizens are wondering if the young diva is opting for skin-lightening.
Recently, Orry shared a video with Suhana Khan, who asked him to recreate one of Sabrina's iconic performance looks. Orry dressed up as the American pop star, Sabrina Carpenter, as he donned a glittery black outfit with a heart-shaped cutout detailing. He channeled Sabrina's signature concert look from her hit tracks, Espresso and Please Please Please.

When Suhana saw Orry, she wasn't able to control her laughter. Orry asked her the reason as she herself told him to dress up like Sabrina Carpenter. Between fits of laughter, Suhana corrected Orry and said that she meant carpenter, not Sabrina Carpenter.

Soon, the video made it to Reddit, and netizens wondered if Suhana was undergoing skin-lightening treatment. One user wrote, "It's actually sad because she actually took a stand against all the bullying she received for her original skintone." Another one pointed out that Suhana was never bullied for her skintone, "I’ve never seen criticism for her skin colour. The criticism always was along the lines of: she looks like SRK in a wig. And I don’t think she can really do anything about that."

Another user sided with Suhana and revealed how skin tone lightens naturally in the 20s. The comment can be read as "Idk about her or anyone, but my complexion lightened up during my early twenties and late teens, specifically. Puberty does have an effect on your complexion, and people significantly change after it... These kids have grown in the limelight, and hence we expect them to remain the same, but people do change."

When Suhana was 20 years old, she addressed the colour discrimination she faced since she was 12 years old. Suhana revealed that she had been told that she was ugly because of her skin ton. She stated that it is one of the issues that needs to be fixed. Suhana wrote:
I’ve been told I’m ugly because of my skin tone, by full grown men and women, since I was 12 years old. There’s a lot going on right now and this is one of the issues we need to fix!! This isn’t just about me, it’s about every young girl/boy who has grown up feeling inferior for absolutely no reason."

Suhana also shared screenshots of disrespectful comments she received in her comment section. Further, she added that they are all Indians and they are naturally brown. She wrote:
"The word for the colour black in Hindi is ‘kaala.' The word ‘kaali’ is used to describe a female who is dark skinned. And it almost never has positive connotations. We're all Indian, which automatically makes us brown. Yes we come in different shades but no matter how much you try to distance yourself from the melanin, you just can’t. Hating on your own people just means that you are painfully insecure."
