Suhana Khan Says She Wouldn't Call Herself 'Immigrant' But Leaving Home At 15 Was Cultural Shock

Suhana Khan Says She Wouldn't Call Herself 'Immigrant' But Leaving Home At 15 Was Cultural Shock

Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan and his wife, Gauri Khan's little girl, Suhana Khan is no more little. Instead, she has grown up and is all set to make her acting debut in Bollywood with Zoya Akhtar's upcoming film, The Archies, which will be premiered on Netflix on November 24, 2023. The film is an Indian adaptation of the popular Archie Comics, set in the Anglo-Indian community. Ahead of that, Suhana attended a book launch event as a solo chief guest. During her conversation at the event, she also revealed a few unmissable anecdotes from her life.

Suhana Khan recalls leaving home at 15 to study abroad was a cultural shock for her

On August 16, 2023, Suhana Khan attended the launch of actress, Koel Purie's book, Invisible in Paris, as a solo chief guest in Mumbai. During the event, Suhana shared how she relates to one of the book's characters and revealed her insights about leaving home at the mere age of 15. This was because she went to study in the UK and New York. However, the star kid also revealed that the people and the friendships over there gave her a homely feeling.

Recalling the same, Suhana said that leaving behind her home to study in the UK and New York was a cultural shock for her. And when she was asked to share her own immigrant story, Suhana revealed:

“I wouldn’t call myself an immigrant and all. I went there to study. I left home when I was 15 for boarding school, so I think that was scary because it was definitely a culture shock and I think it took me a while to feel at home and when I did it was because of the people there and how their friendship, their love made me feel seen when I felt invisible.”

To celebrate the 77th Independence Day in a very special manner, the entire cast of the film, The Archies, served lunch at a restaurant in Mumbai. In a few glimpses now doing rounds on social media, Suhana Khan was spotted serving food to the guests along with Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Aditi Saigal, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, and Mihir Ahuja. All the booming stars looked stunning in white ensembles, and as their glimpses grabbed attention on social media, they received praise from fans.
