In a conversation with Marie Claire, Suni admitted that stepping into something like Victoria's Secret Fashion was like a 'dream outside of her comfort zone. But that's exactly why I said yes.'

According to rumours, fans linked Suni to New York Knicks star, OG Anunoby, after she was spotted attending some of his games during the Eastern Conference Finals. She added that she's friends with several players, including Karl-Anthony Towns, and enjoys watching basketball purely as a fan. As of now, the NBA player has not responded publicly. But before the rumours with Anunoby began, Suni Lee had been romantically linked to Jaylin Smith, a college football player at the University of Southern California (USC). The couple became Instagram official back in 2021 when Suni Lee shared affectionate photos with a heart emoji, as reported by NBC News and People.

In early 2022, Suni Lee revealed that she received backlash from parts of her own Hmong-American community over her interracial relationship. She revealed in her TikTok video that people supported her when it was beneficial for them, but not necessarily for her happiness. Jaylin Smith is a standout cornerback for USC. He is known for his speed and agility. Jaylin has a height of 5'11". He has made over 120 tackles during his college career, according to USC Athletics. Beyond the field, he has also appeared in Snoop Dogg's Netflix docuseries, Coach Snoop, where he was known as "J-Roc." The rapper praised him as "a different kind of kid, definitely one of my favorites."
