Sunita Ahuja Addresses Her Divorce Buzz With Govinda On 'Pati, Patni Aur Panga', 'Kya Chaalis...'

Sunita Ahuja and her husband, Govinda, have made headlines with rumours of their divorce. Speculations began earlier this year, in 2025, that the couple is having trouble in their paradise. Amidst the swirling rumours, in August 2025, there were reports that Sunita had filed for divorce, citing reasons including cruelty and adultery. However, no official statement was made by the duo. Recently, the two have put the rumours to rest by appearing together in front of the media on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The couple was seen praying to Ganpati Bappa and also laughed and danced together during visarjan. Now, in a recent episode of Pati, Patni Aur Panga, Sunita addressed the rumours.

Sunita Ahuja addresses the rumours surrounding her separation from Govinda

Sunita Ahuja recently appeared on the show, Pati, Patni Aur Panga - Jodiyon Ka Reality Check as a guest and addressed the rumours surrounding her separation from Govinda in order to put them to rest. Known for her unfiltered persona, infectious smile and bindass style, Sunita boldly talked about the divorce buzz. In a show, whose theme is related to a couple’s marriage, including highs, lows, special and hilarious moments, it is quite natural that Sunita’s personal life will become a topic of discussion.

In a promo, TV actor, Abhishek Kumar was seen asking Sunita about her and her husband, Govinda. He also mentioned the rumour without directly saying the separation or divorce. The video, featured Abhishek, his ex-girlfriend, Isha Malviya, Sunita Ahuja, Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla, Gurmeet Choudhary, Debinna Bonnerjee and the hosts, Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui. Hearing the question, Sunita boldly said that 40 years of marriage is not simple. In her words:

"Kya chaalis saal maamuli hota hai kaatna? Har insaan galti karta hai, par har cheez ka ek umar hota hai. Maana aapne jawani mein kuch kar liya.. lekin jab 62 saal ki umar mein itne bade-bade bacche ho jaayein, toh insaan galti kaise kar sakta hai?"

Sunita Ahuja calls herself Govinda's Biwi No. 1

In another promo, Sunita was seen dancing with host, Munawar Faruqui while the title track of the movie, Biwi No. 1, plays in the background. Soon after they completed the dance, Sunita quipped to Munawar that she is not his Biwi No. 1, but is Govinda’s Biwi No. 1. This statement of hers clearly stated that she is still in love with her husband, Govinda and is not in the mood to have any separation from him. She was quoted as saying:

"Teri Biwi No. 1 thodi na hoon joh tu aise aise kar raha hai. Main Govinda Ki Biwi No. 1 hoon."

Geeta Phogat’s husband, Pawan Kumar, quickly stated, "Ma'am aapko mil ke toh Govinda ji bhi 2G hogaye hain." Hearing this, Sunita, with her unfiltered persona, shared that in front of a wife, a man always remains 2G, and when it comes to other women, the man becomes 10G. Sunita jokingly said:

"Gharwali ke saamne sab 2G hote hain, baharwali ke saamne sab 10G hojaate hain...Ye show mere aur Govinda par banaya hai kya Pati Patni Aur Panga..."
