When Sunita Ahuja's Father Disapproved Wedding With Govinda, Daughter Tina Says, 'He Told My Mom..'

Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have hogged the limelight. According to a Zoom TV report, the couple, who had been together for 37 years, parted ways. The duo has not made an official comment about this. However, Sunita had once revealed how her father was against her marriage to Govinda and had not attended their wedding. Govinda ruled the hearts of all ladies back in the 80s and 90s. His chocolate boy looks, acting chops and dance steps swooned everyone but his father-in-law remained unimpressed.

Sunita Ahuja's daughter, Tina once shared how her nana ji didn't attend her mom's wedding with Govinda

There have been multiple reports that Govinda and Sunita's different lifestyles have created a gap between them. Sunita, who does not like to be in the limelight once in an interview with Hauterrfly, shared how her father was not supportive. He did not like Sunita's choice to get married to Govinda and skipped their wedding. Tina, in an interview with Hauterrfly, shared:

"Just because I used to love my husband Govinda a lot, I put up with everything. My mom used to wear hot pants, lived in Pali Hill, came from a very rich background. My dad was not that financially strong. He was struggling from Virar it was a very Bollywood story where he didn't even attend the wedding. happy with the whole thing."

Sunita's father disapproved of the marriage as he could not see his daughter making lifestyle adjustments as she was raised differently. She boldly married Govinda, despite her father not being there for the special day.

When Sunita Ahuja shared she was only 19 when her daughter, Tina was born

Sunita and Govinda are parents to Tina Ahuja and Yashwardhan Ahuja. Sunita was 18 when she married Govinda and was blessed with Tina when she was 19. The couple was blessed with Tina exactly one year into the marriage. Sunita shared that she saw he had a big family when she married Govinda. She shared that she was just a child when Tina was born.

Sunita Ahuja claimed Govinda's mother was the house head until she passed away

Going ahead in the conversation, Sunita shared that after she and Govinda got married, he had already made it clear that his mom would be the head of the family. Till the time she was alive, Govinda had the rule and told her she could do what she wanted after his mom's demise. Sunita shared that she accepted all the conditions of Govinda without giving a second thought as she was head-over-heels in love with him.

How Sunita Ahuja continued following traditions after the demise of her mother-in-law

Sunita, going ahead in the interview, shared that after living with her mother-in-law for many years, she was habituated to the traditions that were set. Sunita also adjusted with Govinda's niece's nephews in the same home and shared:

"Then I got used to be other kids (Krushna, Vinay) being in the house. They were all very little. I am very fond of kids. My heart does not allow me to say that Govinda's mom is not there, let me throw everyone out. I thought if you perform good deeds, god will watch, even if the kids don't."
