Sunita Ahuja Recalls Mistakes In Her Marriage To Actor, Govinda, 'Galtiyaan Shobha Nahi Dete...'

Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have often made headlines over their marital issues. In fact, there has been divorce buzz surrounding their 38 years of marriage. Many times, the star wife has been vocal about the troubles in her marriage with Govinda. Now, in an interview, Sunita opened up about the mistakes she and her husband made in the early stages of their marriage. She also highlighted their equation and shared some unheard details.

In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Sunita Ahuja reflected on the mistakes she and her husband, Govinda, made in their marriage. She mentioned that one must keep oneself balanced after getting married. She highlighted that at a young age, people make mistakes, and she, too, had made it, but after a certain age, committing mistakes doesn’t suit. She was quoted as saying:

"Apne aap ko sambhal ke rakhna chahiye. Jawani mein insaan galti karta hai, maine toh kiya hai, Govinda ne bhi kiya hai. Jab aapko certain age ho jaati hai, tab galtiyan karte ho, toh shobha nahi deta. Aur kyun karo, aapke sundar family hai, biwi hai, sundar bachche hain, toh kyun?"

Sunita disclosed that there is a difference in thinking between her and her husband, Govinda. She shared that she is living for her children, Yash and Tina, because she loves them a lot. Recalling a moment from her daughter, Tina’s childhood, Sunita added that the latter often used to choose her father and said that she loves her dad. The star then added that both her children, Yash and Tina, love and support her.

Sunita Ahuja opens up about her struggles for being a star wife

In the same interview, Sunita opened up about the struggles that she faced as a star wife. She highlighted that, as Govinda is a hero, he spends his time with other heroines. She then mentioned that it took her many years to become strong, and she has finally realised the things after spending 38 years with Govinda. Sunita shared that, when she was young, she didn’t know such things. In her words:

"See, woh (Govinda) hero hain. Unka main kya bolun, wife log se zyada woh heroines ke saath time bitate hain. It takes you to become a very strong woman to be a star's wife. Aapko dil pathar ka banana padta hai. It took me 38 years of marriage to realise it. Jawani mein pata nahi tha."

Sunita Ahuja shares her wish not to have Govinda as her husband in the next life

Further in the interview, Sunita was asked whether she wished to have Govinda as her husband in the next life. In response, the star wife said that she doesn’t want that. She explained that Govinda is a very good son and brother, but he is not as good a husband. She wished to have Govinda as her child in the next life rather than her husband. She highlighted that seven lifetimes should be forgotten as one lifetime is more than enough for her. She was quoted as saying:

"Mujhe nahi chahiye. Maine toh pehle hi bata diya tha. Govinda is a very good son, he is a very good brother, but not a husband. Agle janam tu mera beta banke paida hona, pati toh tu nahi chahiye. Saath janam toh bhool jao, yeh janam hi kaafi hai."

In a recent podcast, Abraa Kaa Dabra Show, hosted by Bigg Boss 13 fame, Paras Chhabra, Sunita addressed the rumours of her husband Govinda’s extramarital affair. Sunita shared that she too heard that he is having an affair with some Marathi actress, but doesn’t believe in all this. She mentioned that until and unless she catches the duo red-handed, she can’t comment on the matter.
