Sunjay Kapur Prayer Meeting: Ex Wife, Karisma, Her Kids Comes Together With His Widow, Priya Sachdev

Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur's, prayer meeting was held at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi on June 22, 2025. The prayer meeting took place between 4-5 p.m., and Karisma was seen next to Sunjay's widow, Priya Sachdev, his third wife. The actress along with her children, Samaira and Kiaan, were seen sharing the same frame with Priya, and all looked shattered. Earlier in the day on June 22, 2025, Karisma, with her kids, was seen at a private airport in Mumbai and headed to Delhi for the prayer meeting.

Karisma and her children, Samaira and Kiaan Kapoor, were seen standing behind Sunjay's widow, Priya Sachdev, at an emotional prayer function. All of them were seen holding hands and accepting their condolences. Karisma was seen wearing a white salwar kameez with a grey dupatta on her head and black specks. Priya had worn an off-white salwar kameez and looked broken. Priya's daughter, Safira and her son, Aziras, were also seen.

Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor's sister, becomes emotional

It was on June 12, 2025, when Sunjay left his family bereaved. His prayer meeting was attended by his closest ones. Karisma looked like giving support to Priya despite having a rough patch with her ex-husband; she stood by the full family during the time of loss. In one of the videos, Kareena Kapoor Khan, along with her husband, Saif, was seen. Kareena was seen shattered in the video. She was seen acknowledging whoever came to support them. Kareena looked all things emotional while Karisma was seen consoling Kiaan and also helped him move ahead. Kareena's tears were visible.

Apart from the Kapoor family, Karisma's friend, Neha Dhupia, was also seen attending the prayer meeting and was clicked by the paps exiting the venue. There was a rare moment of togetherness at Sunjay Kapur's prayer meeting between Karisma and Priya, who share history and kids with Sunjay. Everyone became each other's emotional anchor as Karisma and Priya were consoled by their friends and family members.

Sunjay Kapur's untimely death

It was on June 12, 2025, when Sunjay passed away in the UK while playing Polo. According to an India Today report, Sunjay fell on the ground while playing and swallowed a bee. The bee stung his throat, due to which he had a heart attack. When the official statement was released, it revealed that Sunjay had passed away due to a heart attack.  He was the chairman of Soma Comstar, which is a global automotive components supplier. It has a strong name and presence in the electric vehicle domain. Sunjay was known for his business skills and was also a sports enthusiast. His favourite sport was Polo. He passed away tragically in the middle of the game in the UK.

Karisma Kapoor and late Sunjay Kapur's relationship

Sunjay and Karisma married in 2003 and were blessed with two children- Samaira and Kiaan. It was in 2016 that the ex-pair parted ways and had also washed their dirty linen in public. During their divorce proceedings, the custody of Samaira and Kiaan was given to Karisma. However, despite the same, Sunjay did maintain contact with his children. He had reportedly even purchased bonds worth Rs. 14 crore for his kids.
