Sunjay Kapur's Widowed Wife Priya Sachdev's Emotional Post On Anniversary Surfaces After His Funeral

Sunjay Kapur, the CEO of Sona Comstar bid farewell to the world on June 12, 2025. His sudden death at the age of 53 left everyone shocked, and one cannot even imagine the pain his entire family has been navigating. Seven days after his demise, on June 19, 2025, Sunjay's funeral took place, and everyone was teary-eyed. In one glimpse, we could see his third wife, Priya, breaking down in tears while attending her husband's funeral. Amid this, an emotional post of Priya surfaced, which she dropped a long time ago, on her and Sunjay's anniversary.

In an old anniversary post, Priya Sachdev showered love on Sunjay Kapur. Wishing him on their special day, Priya stated that she always knew that they could fly together. She also expressed her gratitude to her husband for making her life filled with laughter, happiness, excitement and adventure. She thanked Sunjay for being there with her and mostly for 'them together'.

Such a post actually spoke volumes about the love the couple shared among them. As this post surfaced after Sunjay's demise, netizens have been offering condolences to Priya. For the unversed, Priya and Sunjay got married in 2017, and they have a son, Azarias. Sunjay also fathered Priya's daughter from her first marriage. The note reads:

"Happy anniversary my handsome husband. Love you unconditionally. I always knew you could run together we fly! With you, life has been filled with laughter, happiness, excitement, adventure and madness! You make me my better half...thank you for always being there for me and, most importantly, for us."

After Sunjay Kapur's demise, Ashok Sachdev revealed in an interview, that his mortal remains will be brought back to India, and his funeral will take place in New Delhi, but it might take some time due to his U.S. citizenship. Well, his mortal remains were brought back, and on June 19, 2025, the funeral took place at the Lodhi Road Cremation Ground, New Delhi. In one of the glimpses, we could see Priya in white clothes. She looked devastated as she was crying at the funeral of Sunjay, which is pretty obvious, given the sudden turn of events. Sunjay's funeral was also attended by his ex-wife, Karisma Kapoor and their kids, Kiaan and Samaira.

Priya Sachdev and Sunjay Kapur first met on a flight, wherein they talked about the public perceptions they had gotten back then, due to their respective public separation, which built the bridge. In an interview with the ET, the businesswoman described that there had been misconceptions about them, but they understood each other and remained in touch.

Priya and Sunjay started dating during the former's divorce proceedings, and their wedding took a long time to happen as kids and ex-spouses were involved. Priya was first married to Vikram Chatwal, with whom she has a daughter, while Sunjay was married to Karisma, and the ex-couple had two kids. In the same interview, Priya called Sunjay an amazing father and revealed that neither of them ever tried to instil any bad mindset in their kids' minds for any of their parents. Priya shares a good bond with Kiaan and Samaira, and their photos together often speak volumes about the same.
