Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol appeared together on the second episode of Karan Johar’s popular chat show, Koffee With Karan 8. The sibling duo opened up about many unheard anecdotes about their personal and professional lives and also shared details about their equation with their contemporaries. For the unversed, Sunny and Bobby made their debut on KWK in the show's first season in 2005. And now, they have spilt the beans about their equation with Hema Malini’s family.
For the unversed, Sunny Deol's eldest son, Karan Deol, tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Drisha Acharya, in June 2023. While the who's who of the entertainment world attended it, Hema Malini and her daughters, Esha and Ahana, chose to skip it. During the show, Karan Johar asked Bobby and Sunny about their alleged family feud and how the Deols celebrated the success of Gadar 2. To this, Bobby said:
“It all started with Karan’s (Sunny Deol’s eldest son) wedding. We never really expose our family. We are very media shy. But we couldn’t stop anyone from putting up videos when they came to the wedding. We got so much love because of those videos which people saw because they actually saw how we were. I think Drisha (Acharya), our daughter, has brought us luck. Bhaiya has been dancing since Karan’s wedding, and then Gadar 2 happened. I have never seen my brother dance so much.”

Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol broke the internet with their reunion with Hema Malini's daughters, Ahana and Esha, at the screening of Gadar 2 in August 2023. This was reportedly the first time that Dharmendra’s four children, Esha and Ahana from Hema Malini, and Sunny and Bobby from Prakash Kaur, made a public appearance together. When Karan asked Sunny about his equation with Ahana and Esha, he said:
“They are my sisters. That is what it is. Nothing changes that. They were very happy. The most beautiful thing over everything was the film became successful. I was going here, there, everywhere. And then, I wanted to have a success party. But I was like, ‘Will everybody come or not?’ I had my friend Kareem with me, who knows everyone in the industry. He did everything. Till the evening, I was not sure who was going to attend it. But the way everybody came and the kind of love everybody gave, I was so happy seeing everyone coming home.”
The rumours about the alleged feud between the two families have been doing the rounds for some time now. However, Esha Deol put an end to it after she hosted a special screening of her step-brother, Sunny Deol's film, Gadar 2, at her house. The actress even shared a picture of herself posing with her siblings together, and everyone was stunned by how good and happy they looked together. Talking about the same, in an interview with News18 Showsha, Hema Malini stated that they all are very much together, regardless of any problem. She also added that it is nice that the press got the pictures of the Deol siblings' reunion, and they were happy about it.

Esha Deol's absence from her nephew, Karan Deol's wedding raised many eyebrows, as her fans were eager to see her enjoy the festivities to the fullest. However, despite missing the wedding, Esha ensured to send her best wishes to the newly-wedded couple, Karan and Drisha. She took to her Instagram handle and shared a heartfelt note for Karan, and her sweet gesture was enough to convince fans that all is well between the two families. Esha's note could be read as:
“Congratulations, Karan and Drisha. Wishing you both a lifetime of togetherness and happiness. Lots of love."
