Sunny Deol often leads the headlines for his personal life. Sunny has been married to his wife, Pooja Deol for nearly 40 years now. Apart from his marital bliss, the actor was previously linked with many actresses when he was a superstar in Bollywood. From Dimple Kapadia, Amrita Singh and Raveena Tandon, Sunny's alleged link-up rumours were all over the news back in the 90s.
In the first season of Karan Johar’s popular chat show, Koffee With Karan, the host, Karan Johar asked Sunny Deol why he avoided Bollywood parties. To this, Sunny had told Karan that he is an early riser and a little shy, so he prefers going to places where he can relax. In his words:
“I don’t drink. I’m a little shy guy. For me, after full day’s work I’d rather be somewhere I’m more relaxed. I’m an early riser and these parties go on till late at night.”

Further, Sunny Deol was asked if it was his conscious decision to never show his wife, Pooja Deol, anywhere in the public sphere. Responding to the same, Sunny said that he and Pooja like to go out to a friend’s place or a more intimate gathering where they can chill out. He further mentioned that it is the only reason why he goes abroad a lot and added:
“We all are just individually like that. One would like to go out to a friend’s place or a more intimate gathering where you can chill out. You’re constantly shooting and in front of the camera. When you’re walking around, there are people staring at you. So there has to be some time when nobody’s looking at you. That’s the one reason I go abroad a lot whenever I get a chance because nobody bothers you there.”
In an old ITMB interview from 1984, Sunny Deol opened up about his take on the baseless rumours regarding his love life. Back then, the actor was linked to many beautiful divas. When Sunny was asked about his reaction to the reports of him being romantically linked to various actresses, he replied that it's a part of the glamour world. When he was asked if those reports ever reached his then-fiancee and now-wife, Pooja Deol, Sunny replied:
“Well, such things happen, it’s part of the game. I don’t know if it reaches her. There’s nothing like that.”

For the unversed, Sunny Deol and Pooja tied the knot with each other in 1984. They are blessed with two sons, Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol. While Karan made his Bollywood debut with the film, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas, in 2019, Rajveer's first Bollywood film, Dono, was released in 2023. However, despite being a part of a family with a legacy of stars, Pooja remains unaffected by the glitz and glam of Bollywood.
