Popular TV actress, Surbhi Chandna celebrated her first Karwa Chauth with her husband, Karan Sharma, on October 20, 2024. For the unversed, Karwa Chauth is a Hindu festival where married women keep fast and pray for the long life of their husbands. The festival marks an unbreakable bond between a husband and a wife. However, Surbhi is not yet done celebrating the festival. A while back, the 35-year-old actress took to her Instagram handle to post a BTS video, where she was getting ready for her Sargi, and also got a gift.
For the uninitiated, on Karwa Chauth, ladies start their day with a ritual called Sargi. After the event, they are not allowed to break their fast until they do see the chaand. It was no different for Surbhi Chandna. She began the video by posting a mirror selfie from her bedroom. She was dressed in a white shirt and grey crop top. The actress then quickly changed into a light green salwar kameez. She wore a pair of jhumkas, a small bindi and a mangal sutra. The cute part in the video, was when Surbhi's Nani Sasu Maa retouched her lipstick, while the actress applied lipstick to her sasu maa. She then opened her sargi gift, which was an expensive, classy bracelet. It looked like the diamond or platinum category.

As the video progressed, it was seen that Surbhi's traditional Sargi thali comprised varied food items, including neatly decorated fruits like apples, dry fruits and more. Surbhi's mother-in-law presented the Sargi. The actress took the blessings of her sasu maa and captioned the video as:
"I am All for rituals got my first Sargi gift too. Yay, never a dull moment with both my mothers-in-law. Nani Sasu Maa retouching her lipstick for the video was the most cutest moment that evening."

Earlier, during an interview with the Hindustan Times, Surbhi Chandna had mentioned giving the Karwa Chauth festival a unique touch. The stunning actress had also confessed that although she dated Karan Sharma for 14 years, she never fasted for him. She said:
"We have dated for almost 14 years, and I have never done a fast for him. And for Punjabis, the celebrations are grand. So, I am excited but it’s making me nervous too as I love food, and even if I manage without it, how would I stay without water the whole day? We want to make our own new traditions on Karwa Chauth. Why should a man only give a gift to the woman? We’ll change that, and I will give a gift to Karan this Karwa Chauth."
Surbhi Chandna's husband, Karan, earlier, in an interview with Times Now Digital, had revealed of not feeling for her when he had first met her 13 years back. He wanted it to be hard to get as all his friends were flat on her. However, he could not resist and ended up messaging her the next day.
