Surveen won a lot of applause for portraying the character of Jojo Mascarenhas for the popular Netflix series, Sacred Games. Surveen had embraced motherhood for the first time on April 19, 2019, and announced the same with a close-up picture of her baby’s feet. She had also revealed the name of her darling daughter, ‘Eva’. Sharing the picture, the doting mommy had written, “We now have her tiny feet to fill the tiny shoes! Blessed by her wonderful arrival in our little family! Welcoming our daughter Eva @akshaythakker.”
Sacred Games season 1 was a huge hit with its superb content. In the second season, Surveen had played an important character of Jojo Mascarenhas which according to her, was an extremely difficult character. What is interesting is the fact that Surveen was expecting during the shoot of Sacred Games season 2. According to the Mid-Day reports, she opened up about how difficult it was for her during the shooting of the popular web series. Surveen reveals that the character of Jojo was very confusing for her and playing it was a challenging job for her.
In the same interview, she has talked about her experience while shooting for the popular series despite being pregnant, she has revealed, “There is nothing common between Jojo and me. I was pregnant at that time, so it was a little difficult too because normally you want to be happy and stay away from negativity but here I had to drown myself into negativity because Jojo was very unforgiving and bitter. It was challenging as an actor on-screen as well as off-screen.” (Also Read: Esha Deol Shares Pictures From Her Sister-in-law, Tanya Gupta Takhtani's 'Godh Bharai' Ceremony)

In an earlier interview with the Mid-Day, the doting mommy had bared her heart out on postpartum depression and what she did when she wasn’t at her emotional best. The Sacred Games actress had stated, “Since I am expressive, I could vent. I am not diplomatic and am also lucky to be blessed with a partner who shares everything with me. One shouldn’t have to repress themselves. [Depression] starts from a single instance, but becomes a larger problem. Throughout my pregnancy, I kept myself in an emotionally-sound place. I had knowledge about what was going on with me, and the baby.”
Surveen and her hubby, Akshay Thakker had celebrated their daughter, Eva’s ‘half birthday’. Her Godfather, Anurag Kashyap was also present at the do, who took to Instagram and shared a beautiful, first-ever family picture of the awesome threesome. The caption that had accompanied the post could be read as “These new parents need every possible excuse in the world to celebrate the daughter. Happy 6 months on this earth to Eva @surveenchawla @akshaythakker. P.S. it's half a cake by the way. The candle though is full.” (Also Read: Ajay Devgn Shares A Still From Ishq, His Wife, Kajol's Reaction To It Is Unmissable)
