Zarine Khan's Last Instagram Post, Sussanne Khan Shared A Video In July 2025, '...Your Little Girl'

Sussanne Khan is the youngest daughter of the late Zarine Khan and Sanjay Khan. And she is deeply hurt after the sudden passing of her mother, Zarine, who was dealing with an age-related ailment at the age of 81. The family bid her goodbye as per Hindu customs. Amidst it, Sussanne's last Instagram post with her late mother, Zarine, has been making rounds.

Sussanne's last Instagram post for her mother was all about the love that a daughter feels. The interior designer shared a compilation of pictures and videos over the years, including her mother's wedding photos to pictures of Sussanne with her other siblings when they were young. The post was dated back on July 12, 2025, and it was Zarine's 81st birthday.

Sharing the video, Sussanne penned a heartfelt note wishing a birthday to her beautiful mother. She added that all she does and creates in her life is credited to her mother, and she helped her shape her heart and mind. She called herself her mother's little girl, and wrote:

"Mama Mia, My My.. what an amazing Mama you are…Happiest happy birthday my gorgeous beautiful mommy.. all that I do and All that I create in my Life has to do with the way you formed my heart, my mind n my grit.. I am so honoured and grateful to be your little girl.. May the Universe always protect you and keep continuing to spread that Love and the smiles you do.. Have the most spectacular year!!"

Sussanne, who is co-parenting her children with her ex-husband, Hrithik Roshan, showed his love as he stood right beside her during the toughest phase of her life. He was one of the first to arrive at her home after finding out about her mother's passing.

Coming back to Zarine Khan's funeral, it was an emotional site as the children looked unprepared of their mother's passing. Her husband, Sanjay Khan stood there right besides her parthiv sharir with folded hands. During her last rites, which were held as per Hindu customs, her children broke down as they mourned their mother's death. Zayed, who was sitting right beside his mother's body, was sobbing with folded hands. Sussanne also looked heartbroken. In the same video, the four siblings were hugging each other as they were in disbelief at their mother's death.

Why did Zarine Khan's family choose her last rites to be held as per Hindu customs?

Several fans were left surprised as the Khan family chose to bid goodbye to their mother as per Hindu customs and not Muslim ones. Netizens raised their doubts in the comment section. One user wrote, "Muslim hokar hindu ki tarah kyu kiya akhri rasam." Another user penned, "Zayed Khan was raised as a muslim, so what is happening here?"

So, for those who don't know, Zarine Khan was born a Hindu. Her real name was Zarine Katrak before she married Sanjay Khan. It is worth mentioning that when she got married to Sanjay Khan, she did not convert her religion, and it is one of the major reasons her last rites were held as per Hindu customs and not her husband's Muslim religion.
