Sushmita Sen's Recent Picture Makes Netizens Confirm She Has Addison's Disease, 'Her Face..'

Sushmita Sen is a strong lady. She suffered from a heart attack on February 27, 2023. She had taken to her social media handle to reveal she was undergoing an angioplasty and having a stent placed in her heart. She has recovered, however, that was not the only health scare that she had. Now, a recent picture of the actress has gone viral, where she gave a cat woman pose. However, netizens found that something was wrong with her face and speculated that she was having Addison's disease.

Netizens find Sushmita Sen's recent picture weird, and speculate she has an autoimmune disorder

Netizens on Reddit, found a picture shared by Sushmita Sen on December 26, 2024. They found that the face of the Aarya actress was weird and took to the comments section to write about the actress facing Addison's disease. One user wrote, "She suffers from Addison's disease and did speak about having to take steroids. So please let us not speculate about people who have health issues."

There were many users who also felt that Addison disease does not change facial structure that way, and wrote that Sushmita had a botched plastic surgery or fillers. One user explained Sushmita Sen's facial condition and wrote, "Addison's disease is caused by the immune system attacking and damaging the adrenal glands, which are located on top of each kidney. This damage prevents the adrenal glands from producing enough of the hormones cortisol and aldosterone."

When Sushmita Sen revealed being diagnosed with Addison disease

It was in 2014 when the actress revealed that she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease called Addison's disease. She was on steroids since then and had written on how her health issue had shaken up her belief system and had also spoken about how she would sustain herself. Sushmita's note read:

"Of all the lows that I have faced, my health has possibly been the one thing that did shake me up. I am suffering from Addison's disease, an autoimmune disorder in which the adrenal glands do not produce enough hormones."

She also added that having to be steroid dependent has a negative impact, but she thanked God for getting the best medical help and was in a position where she could get the best treatment.
