Sushmita Sen is one such actress in the entertainment industry, who has often inspired millions of her fans with her bold decisions. Although she dated several men in her life, she never married one. However, Sushmita adopted her elder daughter, Renee, when she was just 24 years of age. Later, she welcomed her second daughter, Alisah into her life in 2010. Since then, she has been single-handedly taking complete care of her daughters. Now, she talked about her daughter's opinion on her marriage and having a father figure in their lives.
In a candid chat with RJ Siddharth Kannan, Sushmita Sen, who always takes pride in her choice of adopting two daughters at an early age, addressed the much-asked question about her wish to marry. Sushmita mentioned that her daughters, Renee and Alisah don't miss having a father figure in their lives. And when the doting mother revealed her wish to marry, the young girls used to protest the idea. Soon, Sushmita mentioned that although her husband would have nothing to do with her daughters. Moreover, Sushmita's father, Shubeer Sen plays an important role in their lives. Sushmita said:
“They don’t miss having a father figure because they have never had a father. You only miss what you have. And now, when I suggest to them that I should get married, they will be like, ‘What? For what? I don’t want a father’. But I may want a husband, it may have nothing to do with you! They don’t miss a father. They have Tata, my father and their grandfather. He is everything for them. Anytime they need to have a father figure and a great example, he is the man.”

Recently, Sushmita was seen in the web series, Taali, which is a biopic of a transgender activist, Gauri Sawant. The series received huge acclamation from its viewers, and Sushmita revealed that her elder daughter, Renee has chanted the Mahamrityunjaya mantra in the series. On August 9, 2023, Sushmita took to her Instagram handle and posted a picture of her daughter, Renee with the voiceover of Mahamrityunjaya mantra in the background. Alongside it, Sushmita penned a heartfelt note to reveal the same and expressed her joy. Her note could be read as:
"Life comes a full circle! My baby girl @reneesen47 graces her voice to rendering this powerful Mahamrityunjaya mantra. Her voice & my face…together in the trailer of Taali. I of course have goosebumps every time I listen to it! Thank you Shona, for choosing to be a part of this very special Tribute…and for doing it with so much love! You make me proud! Thank you all for the avalanche of love & inclusion with which you have received #Taali I am truly overwhelmed, to say the least!!! Taking to her IG handle on June 5, 2023, Sushmita Sen shared a video from her Paris vacation with her daughter, Alisah and announced that her little girl would be leaving her to study abroad. The video was shot in front of the Eiffel Tower, wherein the mother-daughter duo can be seen enjoying their time to its fullest. However, the stunning actress didn't clarify which country Alisah is heading to for higher studies.
