Bollywood actress, Sushmita Sen and her boyfriend, Lalit Modi are currently trending on social media since his latest post announcing their relationship. Though, Sushmita's ex-boyfriend, Rohman Shawl, her brother, Rajeev Sen, their friends from B-town to millions of fans had showered heaps of love on the couple, many netizens had brutally trolled them.
It was on July 14, 2022, when the former IPL chairman, Lalit Modi had taken to his Twitter handle and posted a series of pictures with his ladylove, Sushmita Sen. In the pictures, we can spot the duo lost in each other's embrace and having a romantic moment. One of the pictures was also a throwback from Lalit and Sushmita's younger days. Alongside it, Lalit had penned:
"Just back in london after a whirling global tour #maldives # sardinia with the families - not to mention my #betterhalf @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning a new life finally. Over the moon. In love does not mean marriage YET. BUT ONE THAT BY GODS GRACE WILL HAPPEN. I JUST ANNOUNCED THAT WE ARE TOGETHER"

A few moments back, Sushmita Sen took to her IG handle and shared a serene picture of herself amidst the blues. She looked gorgeous wearing a black monokini paired with a bun hairdo. Along with it, she penned a long note pointing to all the hatred and trolling she has been facing since Lalit Modi announced their relationship. He mentioned being called 'Gold Digger' by certain people whom she doesn't even know, and in reply to this, she added her love for diamonds more than gold. And revealing that she buys those diamonds all by herself, she penned:
"Perfectly centred in my being & my conscience…I love how nature merges all it’s creation to experience oneness…and just how divided we are, when we break that balance. It’s heartbreaking to see just how miserable & unhappy the world around us is becoming…. The so called intellectuals with their idiosyncrasies….the ignorant with their cheap & at times funny gossip. The friends I never had & the acquaintances I’ve never met….all sharing their grand opinions & deep knowledge of my life & character…monetising the ‘Gold Digger’ all the way!!! Ah these geniuses!!! I dig deeper than Gold…and I’ve always (famously) preferred Diamonds!! And yes I still buy them myself!!!"
Further, in the same note, she thanked those who have never stopped loving or supporting her. Finally, adding that she is always at the centre of her conscience, she concluded her note:
"I love the all heart support my well wishers & loved ones continue to extend. Please know, your Sush is ABSOLUTELY fine.. cause I’ve never lived on the transient borrowed light of approval & applause. I am the Sun….perfectly Centred in my being & my conscience!! However, we can also spot another change in Lalit Modi's Instagram account's bio and display picture. In the display picture of his IG account, we can see him posing with Sushmita. On the other hand, he also mentioned Sushmita's name in his bio and called her his 'love'. Check it out:
