Sussanne Khan Reveals How It Feels To Co-Parent With Ex-Husband, Hrithik, 'No Matter What Our..'

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan were once the most talked about couples in the Hindi film industry. When the actor made a smashing debut with his film, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai in 2000, he became an overnight sensation and a national heartthrob. But rather than getting swayed by the female attention, he tied the knot with his long-time love, Sussanne. The ex-couple then left everyone shocked when they parted ways in 2014. However, rather than becoming bitter, they handled it with grace and continued to remain cordial as they co-parent their sons. At a recent event, the interior designer shared what it is like to co-parent with her ex-husband, Hrithik Roshan. 

Sussanne Khan reveals why she feels fortunate to co-parent with Hrithik 

Sussanne Khan recently attended the ETNow.in Reality Conclave & Awards 2025, where she opened up about her journey of co-parenting sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan, with her former husband, Hrithik Roshan. She revealed both her sons have a creative inclination. At the same time, Sussanne mentioned that the support of her family and her former husband, Hrithik Roshan, makes her feel fortunate in life. In her words:

"Our children are very artistic. Both my boys are artistically inclined to another level. So, I think the support of my family and, of course Hrithik as my co-parent is a very big thing to us. I am feeling very grateful and very blessed."

Sussanne Khan added that her son, Hridaan has been an artist since he was 5 years old with an inborn talent for art. On the other hand, her son, Hrehaan is more fond of music and wants to make a career in that field. Consequently, he is pursuing his studies at Berklee College of Music. Despite coming from different cultural backgrounds, Sussanne shared that she and Hrithik have always taught their kids about art, culture and heritage. Sharing their approach, she said:

"Art and culture and heritage are what we as Indians are and what we infuse into our children, no matter what our relationship is with our spouses".

Rakesh Roshan shared that Sussanne Khan will always be a part of his family 

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan's cordial bond often leaves fans surprised. But not just the two, even their families have always considered both Hrithik and Sussanne as a part of their family. In a conversation with Yuvaa, Hrithik's father, Rakesh Roshan, explained that irrespective of the issues between Hrithik and Sussanne, which led to their divorce, the latter would always hold a special place in their family. He said:

"They were in love, and they had a misunderstanding—that is for them to resolve. As for us, she came into our house as a family, and she remains a member of the family."

Hrithik Roshan and Sussanne Khan have known each other since they were kids. But, their love story began when the actor spotted Sussanne in a car at a traffic signal. He was instantly mesmerised by her, and they dated for four years before tying the knot on December 20, 2000. They welcomed two sons, Hrehaan and Hridaan, in their 13 years of marriage. They parted ways in 2014 and continue to remain on good terms. Hrithik is presently dating Saba Azad, while Sussanne is dating Arslan Goni, and the four of them share a good bond.
