Taapsee Pannu is one of the most talented actresses in Bollywood, who has made her name set quite perfectly in the industry by treating her fans with stellar performances in the movies. The actress prefers to stay away from the media glares and doesn't like to talk too much about her personal and professional life, and she is considered to be a little bit media-shy too. However, in a recent interview, the actress talked about the 'Bollywood camps'. For the unversed, earlier global icon, Priyanka Chopra talked about such camps in Bollywood that often dictate casting.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Taapsee Pannu was asked about her opinion about the camps in Bollywood. Talking about the same, the actress agreed and said that there are Bollywood camps, and they have been there for a long time. The actress added that she holds no grudges against such camps, as everyone has the right to choose whom to work with. Taapsee also mentioned that she always knew it would be biased even before coming to the industry. She also mentioned that, after all these, if someone wants to remain a part of the industry, that's their call, and they cannot complain about it. Elaborating on the same, Taapsee stated:

“Yes, Bollywood camps isn’t something that people don’t know about. It’s been there since forever. It can be basis an actor’s friend circle, a certain agency or group that they’re a part of and people’s loyalties differ based on that. Everyone should have the right to choose whosoever they want to work with, or have in their films...I never came with a point of view that it’s going to be all fair in the film industry. I always knew it’s going to be biased. So why crib about it no...And if after all that, you still decide to be a part of this industry, then it’s your choice and you can’t complain about it later."

Further in the interview, Taapsee Pannu stated that camps and favouritism are there not only in Bollywood but in every industry except for sports. She also mentioned that the results are fair and do not depend on luck. Talking about the same, Taapsee mentioned:
"Forget about this industry… I don’t know of any profession, apart from sports probably, where camp and favouritism does not exist, at least to some extent. The results are fair and square, and proportional to ones talent. It’s not dependent on luck."
In the same interview, Taapsee Pannu then shared that the outsiders who come to the industry with no filmy background must work constantly hard and try to prove themselves in every movie. The actress added that if one delivers one good film, it doesn't make them sorted for the next ten years, so they must work continuously to keep their place in the industry. Sharing the details about the same, Taapsee mentioned:
"To become a part of this industry, you first get a foot in the door, and if you manage to do so, there is a struggle to be able to make your presence felt. You have to struggle to prove yourself with every film. It’s not like you have one successful film and the next 10 years are sorted for you. It does not happen like that with people who come to this industry with no background. We have to consistently keep doing good work to be able to have a standing of our own."

"The Hindi film industry has changed so much in the last five to ten years. You have so many talents – writers, directors, and actors that come from outside the industry. When I first started, that was not the case, at all. So I think having conversations around the fact that the workplace should be merit-based, that the workplace should be a positive environment, that casting should be a casting director’s job instead of the politics and the drama."
