Taapsee Pannu has etched her name in Bollywood, as one of the most versatile actresses of her generation. Time and again, the diva has proven her acting mettle, with successful films like Pink, Dunki, Haseen Dilruba, Badla, Thappad, Naam Shabana, Manmarziyaan and many others. Of lately, Taapsee headed headlines as she got married to her longtime beau and badminton player, Mathias Boe, in an intimate wedding celebration. And now, the actress spilled beans on an interesting anecdote about her career.
In an interview with Shikhar Dhawan on his talk show, Dhawan Karenge, Taapsee Pannu narrated an interesting anecdote about her career in films and surprisingly mentioned how she was brought into the showbiz world, due to her exceeding resemblance with Preity Zinta. Adding how she had to, in a certain way, live up to the reputation of the senior actress, Taapsee shared:

“I was first brought into Bollywood because I share a resemblance with Preity Zinta. She has a very good energy and you know it well. The aura of Preity ma’am is very lively and she seems very intelligent. I felt like I had to live up to her reputation as I was brought into the industry because of her name. So, I always put in an effort to be like her.”

Well, agree or not, Taapsee Pannu has carved a trailblazing career in Bollywood, and her epic filmograpy is a befitting proof of the same. Earlier, in a conversation with The Statesman, the actress retrospected over her career of more than ten years and spilled beans on the several highlights. In her words:
“It is easy for me to feel happy or proud. When I say yes to a movie that nobody wants me to do and I end up doing it, and it works… that makes me proud. Or even when there’s a film which nobody thought I could pull off, it fills me with pride.”
In yet another interview with HT City, Taapsee Pannu spilled beans and revealed the reason due to which she chose to not make her wedding into a public announcement. The actress remarked how apart from her close ones, she isn’t really interested to include other people into her very inner circle. Moreover, she elaborated on her apprehensions of feeling scared to be judged, if such a crucial moment of her personal life went public.

Previously, while conversing with Elle Magazine, Taapsee reflected whether there would be any changes in her professional choices, now that she got married to Mathias Boe. In her response, she explained that at the very core, she would only like to be a part of projects that are worth consuming her time. Moreover, she emphasised engaging in more relevant opportunities, and not be a part of things that would not stand the test of time.
