The enchanting Bollywood actress, Tabu, who is known for her tremendous performances, is a gem of the Hindi cinema. We have known her as 'Aditi Pandit' in Astitva, 'Mumtaz' in Chandni Bar, 'Ghazala' in Haider and many more and with every role, she has only awestruck her audience. Born as Tabassum Fatima Hashmi, Tabu is the face of groundbreaking cinema.
The actress began her acting journey with commercial films like Pehla Pehla Pyar, Vijyapath, Prem, Haqeeqat, Himmat, Jeet and more. However, it was films like Maachis, Maqbool, The Namesake, Cheeni Kum, Haider and many others which made Tabu the most bankable actress. Just like her professional life, Tabu’s personal life, too, has garnered a lot of attention.

Though her name was linked to many actors, Tabu is still happily single. Tabu is not a damsel in distress and is in no mood to give up her acting, and her freedom for the sake of companionship. However, the actress once blamed a Bollywood hero for her single status. Yes, you read that right! In a throwback interview with Mumbai Mirror, the gorgeous actress blamed actor Ajay Devgn for her remaining single.
Remembering her growing-up years, Tabu recalled how Ajay and her cousin would spy on her and beat up any guy who would talk to her. Elaborating on the same, she said:
“Yes, Ajay and I have known each other for 25 years. He was my cousin Sameer Arya’s neighbour and close buddy, a part of my growing up years and that has laid the foundation of our relationship. When I was young, Sameer and Ajay would spy on me, follow me around and threaten to beat up any boys who are caught talking to me. They were the big bullies and if I am single today, it is because of Ajay. I hope he repents and regrets what he did."

Talking about her linkups, Tabu’s first serious affair was with actor, Sanjay Kapoor. The duo started dating during the shooting of their film but parted ways after a short period. The next man in Tabu's life was director-producer, Sajid Nadiadwala. Tabu and Sajid have always been good friends, and it was only while working together for the film, Jeet, their relationship blossomed. But Sajid hesitated to commit to Tabu because he still had feelings for his wife, the late Divya Bharti.
When she realised that Sajid was unsure about his emotions towards her, Tabu moved ahead. The gorgeous actress later developed feelings for South Indian superstar, Akkineni Nagarjuna, who was already married. After ten long years of being in a relationship with Nagarjuna, Tabu realised that he would not leave his wife. She took a firm step and broke up with him.
