Tamannaah Bhatia Speaks On 'Love' Amid Breakup Rumours With Vijay Varma, 'Love Is Always One-Sided'

Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most talked-about actresses in India. Her recent acting projects and dance numbers have received immense love from audiences. The diva rose to fame with films like Baahubali, Paiyaa, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Happy Day, Kalloori etc and fans are waiting to see her on the big screen again. On the personal front, actress who was dating her Lust Stories 2 co-star, Vijay Varma, has allegedly broken up with him. Although Tamannaah did not confirm this, she recently opened up about her views on love and relationship in a new interview. 

Tamannaah Bhatia says that 'love' and 'relationship' are two different concepts 

Tamannaah Bhatia recently sat down for an interview with Luke Coutinho on his YouTube channel. During the conversation, she shared that 'love' and 'relationship' are two concepts. But people always get confused between the two and use it interchangeably. In her words: 

"I recently realised that people confuse what love is and what a relationship is. I don't mean it solely in the context of a man-woman relationship, but even among friends. The moment love becomes conditional, I feel like, from that moment, it ceases to be love. The idea of love can only be unconditional. Love is always one-sided; it's your love. Two people can individually love each other, but essentially, love is an inside job."

Tamannaah highlighted that when a person starts building expectations in love and expects the other person to act as per them, it becomes a business transaction. The Stree 2 actress believes that one can feel love for their pet, parents, or partner. In all these cases, the equation can differ, but the feelings are similar. At the same time, she explained that a person should accept a relationship only when they are ready to acknowledge that it will bring changes in the future. Tamannaah said: 

"If I have to love someone, I have to let them be free. I think you can't love by projecting your ideas onto that person. You love them for who they are and who they are going to become because people are not static."

When Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma's breakup made headlines, fans were curious to know the cause and several news portals shared different speculations. Amid this, a report by Siasat Daily revealed that the couple parted ways due to their contrasting views on marriage. Tamannaah Bhatia, who is in her mid-30s, was 'eager' to tie the knot with Vijay, who wanted to wait. It led to frequent clashes, and they parted ways a few weeks ago.

Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma worked together in Lust Stories 2, where they fell in love with one another. During its wrap-up party, Vijay approached Tamannaah to ask her out. The couple soon began dating and were spotted on vacations together, which led to media speculation about their bond. Later, during an interview with Film Companion in 2023, Tamannaah confirmed the speculations. On the other hand, the Vijay sat down for an interview with Shubhankar Mishra and revealed that he didn't want to keep their relationship under wraps. He said: 

"I think we were both aligned on the fact that if we like to spend time together and like each other, then there is no need to hide this. It takes a lot of effort to hide a relationship. You cannot go out together, and your friends cannot click your photos. I don't like such restrictions."
