Tamannaah Bhatia is one of the most gorgeous actresses to have entertained audiences in both the South and Bollywood film industries. Tamannaah has made headlines for both personal and professional reasons. Recently, she appeared on Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. For the unversed, Tamannaah performed a dance number, Ghafoor, in the Netflix series.
While people enjoyed the peppy track, it was Tamannaah’s drastic transformation that stole the spotlight. However, there were rumours that she used Ozempic. Now, in an interview, she dismissed the buzz.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Tamannaah Bhatia opened up about growing up in front of the camera. Tamannaah shared that since she was 15, people have seen her grow up. She then explained that her current body shape is nothing new to her, as she had a slender body type until her late 20s. She was quoted as saying:
"I have been in front of the camera since the age of 15, and people have seen me grow up in front of the camera, so there is nothing to hide. Till my late 20s, I was a slender body type. That was always my body. This body in which I am right now is technically not new to me. I have grown up like this, and I have stayed like this."
In the same interview, Tamannaah Bhatia expressed that the Hindi audience might be surprised by her transformation, but she has been familiar with it for years. She later highlighted that a woman’s body is always changing. She mentioned that every five years, women get to experience a different version of themselves. She was quoted as saying:
"This might be new for the Hindi belt of the audience, but people have seen my work in so many different films and in so many different bodies, but essentially on the leaner side. But what people need to understand is that a woman's body is always changing, and every five years we see a different version of our own self."
In the same interview, Tamannaah Bhatia opened up about her struggles with weight management. She highlighted that during the COVID-19 pandemic, her body was hit hard. She mentioned that it was quite difficult for her to maintain the same weight that she had in her 20s. The Baahubali actress shared that she loved food and ate rice, roti, and dal. Tamannaah added that although she maintained doing healthy things, she was concerned about weight gain and constantly monitored her body changes.

Further in the interview, Tamannaah Bhatia reacted to the rumours linked with using Ozempic for weight loss. She spoke about inflammation and explained how women’s bodies naturally change due to hormonal cycles. She cited her own example and said that she, too, experienced this after hitting her 30s. The actress later mentioned that, as a Sindhi, her body curves will stay with her. Tamannah expressed that she doesn’t want to follow any global beauty standards, and it’s high time that people must embrace body curves. She was quoted as saying:
"Any woman who is going through the cycle feels like her body is shifting. I went through the same in my early 30s, and my curves are not going anywhere. My curves are not going anywhere because I am Sindhi. The hip and waist are not going anywhere because that is bone structure. I don't think you will ever see me following global beauty standards because it's aspirational to be Indian, people love our curves, and I think it's time that we should embrace that."
