Tanishaa Gets Trolled For Her Dress With Mesh And Fabric Roses, Netizens Say, 'Ye Sab Uorfi Par..'

Tanishaa Mukerji is an actress who has predominantly worked in Hindi films. The actress is a member of the Mukherjee-Samarth family and the sister of actress, Kajol. She made her Bollywood debut with Sssshhh in 2003. The actress was also a contestant on the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss 7, where she was crowned the 1st runner-up.

Tanishaa Mukerji attended the gala hosted by the World Magazine on April 13, 2025. The actress made an appearance at the charitable event, which also marked the presence of Wamiqa Gabbi and Huma Qureshi, among others. However, it was Tanishaa's choice of attire that left the netizens divided.

The former actress chose the statement Echante gown by Label D by Dimple Shroff. While the evening was meant to promote a cause, Tanishaa's bold choice stole the spotlight. However, not in a good sense. The actress chose to wear a sheer black mesh maxi dress which was adorned with enormous pastel-pink fabric roses. She completed her look with statement jewellery pieces and an elaborate black fascinator on her head.

Tanishaa Mukerji's outfit left the netizens confused. The video of her making an appearance at the event was shared by several media houses, and netizens were quick to make a point. While some appreciated the look and lauded the former actress for being 'fashion-forward', others criticised her dress for being 'too revealing' for a cause. A user penned, "It looks like she is carrying groceries in a plastic bag." Another wrote,
"What is this dress?"

A comment read, "Ye sab Uorfi par hi accha lagta hai." A user quipped, "When nobody calls you at the MET Gala." A commenter wrote, "Wtf is she actually wearing...no offence, but it's everything except for an attire." Many also praised her. One comment read, "Let's not drag a woman down for her dressing." Another wrote, "She was good in Bigg Boss." A comment said, "Super se upar @tanishaamukerji." Another stated, "Loofas ko net pe chipkaa kr agai cartoon lagri hai."

For the unversed, before Tanishaa Mukerji, it was Prakriti Pavani who wore the dress by Label D. The brand by Dimple Shroff is known for its made-to-order high fashion outfits. Prior to Tanishaa, Prakriti wore the dress to Lakme Fashion Week 2025.

Tanishaa Mukerji was born on March 3, 1978, to Shomu Mukherjee and veteran actress Tanuja. She is the younger sister of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai star, Kajol. The actress was in a relationship with her Bigg Boss 7 co-contestant, Armaan Kohli, before breaking up in October 2014, and since has not been involved in any public relationships. The actress is best known for her stint in Sarkar and Sarkar Raj. However, her career faced a decline in 2013. She is said to make her Marathi debut with Veer Murarbaji, but no further information has been shared on the film.
