Tanuj Virwani, Indian actor and model, is best known for his show, Inside Edge. He was also in the headlines when he dated actor, Kamal Haasan’s daughter, Akshara Haasan. After being together for four years, Tanuj and Akshara parted ways and after some time, the latter’s private photos were leaked. Tanuj Virwani had maintained silence on the sensitive matter but in an interview, he recently broke his silence and shared the details of his relationship with Akshara. He also revealed the relationship he shares with his wife, Tanya Jacob, who stood by his side throughout everything.
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Tanuj spoke about how he is still in touch with most of his exes except Akshara. He said that the relationship with Akshara was different from his other exes. When the actor discussed why he keeps in touch with his exes, he revealed that if a sense of mutual respect remains, he keeps the friendship intact. However, when he was asked about why he lost touch with Akshara, the actor said:

“Sometimes when you lose respect for your partner, and you don’t take a stand for them when you have to, then I may forgive but not forget. In that case, I don’t have to be friends. We are happy in our respective space.”
The actor then referred to the leaked photos scandal and said that Akshara didn’t support him during the matter. Tanuj said that if you believe he had a part in the scandal, that’s fine, but if you don’t, then you are supposed to take a stand. He said:
“It has nothing to do with our breakup. But everything that happened about the leaked pictures, either you believe I have done it, or you believe I haven’t and, in that case, you need to take a stand for me. But, she didn’t. I believe everybody has their own reasons and now it doesn’t really matter.”
The Purani Jeans actor further opened up about his relationship with his wife, Tanya Jacob, who stood by him and understood the complexities of his past relationships. Tanuj mentioned that it is not common for Tanya to guide him in his interviews. However, she was concerned about Akshara and the leaked photographs.
The actor also revealed how he met Tanya for the first time. Tanuj said that after breaking up with Akshara Haasan, he met Tanya Jacob, and they were just friends back then, before getting married in 2023. He added that when Tanya asked him about the matter, he didn’t hide anything and accepted the reality. The Luv U Soniyo actor said:

“The irony here is that I met Tanya around the time when I broke up with Akshara. We were just friends at that point, but we had met around that time. And at that time, maybe out of curiosity or concern, I am not sure, but she did ask me about the whole episode. My answer was still the same. I told her the reality. That’s about it.”
