Tanya Mittal's Remark On Not Wanting To Work With 'Big Names' Resurfaces After Ekta Kapoor's Offer

Bigg Boss 19 contestant, Tanya Mittal, has been over the moon about Ekta Kapoor's offer to star in a TV show. However, while Ekta's response left Tanya smiling, the latter's response prompted netizens to dig into the influencer's past podcasts and interviews. And now they have found an interview where Tanya clearly said she doesn't want to work with 'big names'.

Tanya Mittal's old comment on working with 'big names' goes viral amid Ekta Kapoor's TV show offer

Ekta Kapoor graced Bigg Boss 19 during the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode. During her appearance, she said she would love to cast Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal in her upcoming project and that they will discuss it once Bigg Boss 19 ends. While the offer left Tanya ecstatic, netizens dug up her old podcast in which she mentioned that she doesn't want to work with "big names".

For the unversed, during the podcast, Tanya Mittal was quoted as saying she would rather work with a small director for free and help them grow than chase fame and money. She shared that People always chase big names like Karan Johar or Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However, if given the chance, she would like to work for a small director with real talent who isn't getting a big heroine. Tanya added that she would work for them for free so that their talent can be recognised. Tanya was quoted as saying:

"Log hamesha Karan Johar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali bade naam lekar bade logon ke peechhe bhaagte hain. Main chahungi shayad koi ek aisa Chhota director ho jiska talent ho, aur usko nahi mil rahi ho koi badi heroine. Main uske liye free kaam karu aur unka talent bahar aaye."

During the same podcast, Tanya Mittal added that she thinks differently and has no interest in working with or chasing big people. The social media influencer claimed she wants to meet small people, take on small projects, and help them grow. She added that this idea of hers was why she works on the ground level so that she can come across raw talent. The social media influencer was quoted as saying:

"Meri soch bohot alag hai. Mujhe kisi bade aadmi se nahi milna, kisi bade aadmi ke saath kaam nahi karna. Mujhe chhote logon se milna hai, chhote kaam karna hai, unhein bada banana hai. Isliye main yaha ground pe ghoomkar logon se mil rahi hu.  That is my purpose. Money, fame is not my purpose."

During the recent Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Ekta Kapoor said that she would love to cast Amaal Mallik and Tanya Mittal in her next project. The director said, "Come out of Bigg Boss. We would like to talk." The offer left Tanya ecstatic as she revealed that it would be a dream come true to work with someone like Ekta. Tanya was quoted as saying:

"It's my dream to be in a show made by you because aap bohot zyada family and culture dikhaate ho. And I am like that."

The clip soon made its way to the discussion platform, Reddit. Users shared their views on Tanya's remark and compared it to what she said in Bigg Boss. A user penned, "This is such a miss India type answer - I want to end world hunger types." Another wrote, "Had I not seen her in the BB house, I would have been in awe of her after seeing this clip. Glad it's not her reality, and blessed are those small directors/producers who got saved by not having to offer her any role/s. Is Ekta Kapoor really sure she wants Mittal for her show? Or is this part of some gimmick, given that she chose Amaal alongside Mittal? Wonder what plot she will have that she has to cast onscreen siblings together?"
