The show, Taskaree: The Smuggler’s Web, starring Emraan Hashmi, Sharad Kelkar, Amruta Khanvilkar and more revolves around 'Prakash Kumar' (played by Emraan Hashmi). He is a senior police officer, who is under pressure to solve a complex smuggling network, which he controlled by a dangerous gang. In the show, 'Prakash Kumar' decides to form a special task force, who are determined to prove themselves. Overall, the show is full of twists, emotional moments, bravery and survival.

Several fans appreciated the suspense of the show and hailed Emraan Hashmi in the web series. One user commented, "One of the solid written class show in recent Times! The concept, the idea & fast paced on point execution is just excellent! Highly highly recommended." Another user shared:

Fast-paced cringe background music after every 5 minutes! Why?" Another user penned, "#TaskareeTheSmugglersWeb is Neeraj Pandey’s weakest work, it should have been be gripping, but it never really gets there. A third user wrote:
