Taylor Frankie Paul Stormed Out Of 'Bachelorette' Set As A Contestant Grilled Her About Her Arrest

Just when the Bachelorette was about to air, the plug was pulled by ABC as a video was shared by TMZ showing Taylor Frankie Paul's fight with her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. While the show has been cancelled, several inside details are now surfacing on social media platforms.

Earlier, it was revealed that Doug Manson was the one who got the final rose from Taylor Frankie Paul, being the winner. It was also reported that Taylor and Doug got engaged on the show; however, it lasted for a short span, and things collapsed. Now, TMZ released some new details wherein it was revealed that Taylor was emotional as a suitor brought up her past about being arrested.

Sources of direct knowledge revealed to TMZ that a contestant named Casey Hux headed to a one-on-one date with Taylor Frankie Paul. However, things didn't go the right way, as, according to the source, Casey ended up questioning Taylor about her domestic violence arrest. Reportedly, Taylor Frankie Paul was left emotional, and she had a full-fledged meltdown, so much so that she even stormed off the set. Reportedly, Casey brought up the topic to understand what Taylor experienced and how she made a comeback from such a place. Casey reportedly didn't see the video posted by TMZ back then.

In the video, which TMZ posted, Taylor was seen throwing a chair at Dakota Mortensen, and the couple was fighting in front of the former's daughter. Soon after the video was released, ABC cancelled the show, and no further information about whether or not it will air has been given. Taylor's spokesperson released a statement, wherein it was revealed that she was going through a silent physical and mental abuse, and after a lot of time, the actress was finally getting her strength to face her abuser.

As per the same statement, Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation and public shaming, and has been exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story. Taylor and Dakota started dating in 2022, and they have a two-year-old son. It was in January 2025 that Taylor revealed that she had parted ways with Dakota. Speaking to Us Weekly about the recently surfaced video, Dakota mentioned that while one could have the idea about the upsetting situation through the video, he is unfortunately used to the baseless claims about him and their relationship, thus his main focus for now is his son's well-being. He said:

“As anyone who has seen the video will understand, this is a deeply upsetting situation. I am, unfortunately, used to these baseless claims about me and our relationship, which I categorically deny. I am focusing on our son and his safety, and hope that Taylor will do the same."

Doug Manson was said to be the winner of the Bachelorette, as he reportedly got the final rose from Taylor and got engaged to her. Reportedly, it was after a few days that things collapsed between Doug and Taylor, which led the former to visit the latter in Utah, where she resides. Doug reached out to Utah but was reportedly heartbroken to learn that their relationship won't work, given Taylor's unresolved emotions toward her ex, Dakota.
